As they walked out, Dave stretched, and checked his feet for cuts. "Well my feet have seen better days." He mutters. "Where did we come out at?"

Eridan didn't even notice the small cuts that had gathered on the bottom of his feet and his ankles, the callouses on his feet from walking barefoot over rough things too long making it difficult to figure out when he actually got hurt there. "Should'a warned you to bring shoes." He shrugged and continued walking. "We're roughly along the sand/tree line here i think, an' this ends up in one of the deeps pools. There's two ways out from there, a short way that goes up an' comes out near the reef an' a bit of a longer way that comes out a bit further into the ocean."

"They'd just be uncomfortable, fuck no." He shook his head, though that wasnt much better.

This cave still had some of the stuff that made the other one glow, but they didnt compare im quantity. "Sweet, let's go for a swim then" he looked around to try to figure out which way to go

Eridan stretched his arms above his head once there was enough room, rolling his shoulders to loosen them up a bit. "Put your mouthpiece in before you ho any further. I'm pretty sure this one just drops off." He took a few steps forward, feeling nothing under his foot with the last step and grabbing for the wall for balance. "Yes, yes it does."

He kept a hand on the rope as Eridan walked forwards, ready to pull if he fell. "Wait so we just jump? In the dark?" He rose a brow, placing the mouthpiece in his mouth either way, and slowly walking closer

"Well you can fall in if you so want to but yeah." He shrugged, looking at Dave and grabbing a hold of his arm to keep him from falling in. "I can see if i can glow any brighter for you but no promises." His brow furrowed and he looked at the water.

"I fell in last time. Wasn't paying attention, tripped over a rock and splatted face first into the water. Nearly choked breathing in water through the wrong set of lungs." He shrugged and concentrated, eyes closing a bit as if that would help him.

He managed to glow a bit brighter, making it possible for him to completely see Dave from where they were standing. "This any better?"

Eridan just smiled. He'd cut his cheek on something when he'd lunged for the edge and nearly hit his face on that as well. It hadn't scarred, thankfully, but he was a bit more wary of deep pools now.

Eridan gripped his wrist, despite the rope holding them together. He thought it'd be easier for them both if he just kept a hold of Dave for now. "C'mon." He stepped off the ledge, into the dark water.

Dave inched a little closer to him as he tugged down the goggles, slightly scared in all honestly, but he didnt have time to think about it. Sooner than he knew, he had jumped, only having time to grab hid camera as well, being a bit surprised by how deep it was.

He soon surfaced though, shaking hid head.

Eridan surfaced with him, still with the grip on Dave's wrist. He watched him for a bit, waiting as he kicked his legs to keep the both afloat. "Shall we go on down, Mr Strider?" He grinned, teeth glinting a bit in the light from his spots.

He was glad that he kept the grip on him, or he might have been a little scared for a whole longer. Even now he didnt really complain. "Down we go, captain." He spoke around the mouth piece, finding himself smiling

Eridan laughed and slipped under the water, tugging Dave with him. His glow seemed to stretch further in the water, lighting up below for them both as he pulled Dave with him. He was thankful this pool wasn't as deep as the others, only four or five meters deep. He kept the grip of Dave's wrist the entire swim down, other hand held in front of them to light the way.

Dave kicked his legs to help, keeping himself close to Eridan, the bubbles slowly rising from the sides of the mouth piece. The grip he had on his wrist was starting to hurt a little though, so he moved Eridan's hand so that he was holding his own instead. Much better. Less bone-crushing pain, definitely.

Eridan glanced back at him when Dave rearranged the grip he had, realising then that he might have been squeezing a bit. "Sorry."

They landed on the bottom then, upright and looking down in the glow. The rocks and pebbles under their feet shifted this way and that. "You alright?"

He nodded, giving him a thumbs up, and using Eridan to keep himself down. He really couldnt do much, unless Eridan decided to move, so he glanced around.

"Wanna see if there's a skeleton down here?" He grinned in excitement, turning a bit to walk along the bottom in a random direction. He didn't let go of Dave's hand, tugging him with him and bending to pick up a few rocks and thin white bones. "Fish bones. So many fish bones."

Dave kinda moved to wrap his other arm around Eridan's as well, seeing that he'd float away if he didn't. Now he looked like those girls that were always around a pimp in movies and shit.

He smiled as he saw the bones, grabbing some himself. He sure hoped none of them decided to shove themselves inside his foot, or he'd shove his foot up someone's ass.

Eridan merely glanced at him, stepping carefully over the rocks and bones. After a sharp stab to his heel and several hissed bubbly swears later though he pulled Dave up a bit to swim instead of walk. "Fucking bones. I hate bones." He grumbled, pulling a face as he tried to twist and look at the bottom of his foot without landing on the bottom again.

Dave rose a brow, letting go of him so that he could bend over and get a look at the foot himself. He pressed his lips together. Seems like a sharper bone, probably broken, stabbed his foot. It wasnt bleeding too bad, but it was a little. He just gave him the ok sign, shrugging and going back to holding his arm, never having let go of his hand.

Eridan held still while Dave looked, raising an eyebrow at him before just returning the shrug and continuing on. "Let's hope there's no sharks down here, hey?" He grinned and snickered, pulling Dave along with him as he coasted along the bottom. He could see something pale up ahead, bouncing back the violet light and swam over. "Here's your skeleton Dave."

He laughed a little, swimming along with him. At his comment he rose a brow, getting a bit closer to get a better look. This was a pretty big skeleton, or at least decently sized. He looked at Eridan for an explanation, maybe he knew what it belonged to.

Eridan had swum closer to look at it, squinting and reaching out to touch it with his fingers. "It's not human, or at least I don't think so. It's half buried in all this shit, so it's kin'a hard to tell. It could've been a young whale or dolphin or something, the bones look big enough, but I've no idea how it got in here. Maybe the caverns used to be bigger?" He glanced back at Dave, tugging him closer so he could have a look as well.

He rested his chin on Eridan's shoulder, mainly because he could, it wasnt like his head felt heavy underwater. He reached forwards to touch one of the bones, feeling how smooth it wad under the pads of his fingers.

Grabbing his camera, he took a picture of it.
