Eridan rolled his eyes and kept his arms close to his sides. "Stupid gills. My neck isn't as bad, sensitive wise at least. It pisses me off those when it's windy, 'cause then it stars getting itchy. Hence the reason for scarfs." He raised a hand to scratch around his neck gills, grumbling softly.

He grins, poking his arm a little just to annoy him a little. Though that did answer some questions that he did not particularly need to know the answer to. "Your neck isn't as ticklish as your sides then? Noted. Always go for the sides."

"I'd gut you if you went for my neck." He said nonchalantly, stepping over a pile of rocks. "I'd only punch you if you went for my sides." He grinned briefly, fins wiggling a bit.

The dinghy was where they'd left it when earlier that day, only the bottom was in the water thanks to the rising of the tide.

He laughs a little, walking around the pile of rocks, as his feet were already bad as it was. "But didn't you say your neck wasn't as sensitive?"

As they got to the dinghy, Dave helped turning it around and push it a little into the water, and got in, having to jump a little to do so.

"They're not as sensitive, but my sides are more defensible than my neck is. Arms are already here, see?" He moved his arms as if to back his words, walking without a care over the next pile of rocks.

He waited until Dave was in before hauling the anchor up, hoping in beside him.

A devious little grin formed on his face. Dave leaned against the side of the boat, looking over at Eridan. "So always go for the neck. Okay."

"No, but I might drown you an' keep your corpse as a guise to your friends." He was grinning a bit, a small smile on the edge of his lips. "You wouldn't hurt me like that would'ya Dave?"

"We can test it right about now if you're so sure of that." He got a little closer with a full blown grin.

Eridan shifted a bit backwards, fins flaring again almost warningly. "If you feel like swimming back to Sabriel then be my guest."

"Mmh." He hummed a little in thought, though he got a little closer again. "I think.." he pokes his ribs. "That I can wait until we're back home so that I can test that."

Eridan twitched away from his hand, baring his teeth a bit in warning. "I am not adverse to dumping you over the side Strider." He huffed at him, accelerating the motor so Dave fell against him with a thump and he could grab his shoulder to pull him closer to the water.

Dave gasped a little when he fell backwards, placing his hands behind his back so that he could catch himself, and sighed with a soft smile when he did that, splashing water over his lap. "Sure thing, forget I ever even said anything."

"Forget you ever knew anything." He let him back up, shoving him a bit with his foot as he steered the dinghy alongside Sabriel. He tied it up again, double checking the knot as always before waiting for Dave to get on board."

Dave soon got on board, wanting to take off the damned body suit so bad that he actually reached back to undo the zipper, but then realized he still needed it, and groaned a little. "I'm hungry. You hungry?"

"Just take it off Dave, we won't be going out for a bit anyway." He waved a hand at the full body suit, stepping around him to open up one of the seat compartments and grab a few towels for them to compeltely dry off with. "Here. I'm not too hungry. You can eat if you want."

As soon as he got consent to do it, he tried to reach for it and undo it, getting out of the body suit in a minute tops. He smiles a little, taking a towel, and wrapping it around his waist as he goes to fetch his shades and sandwiches, then sitting in the sun outside to eat and get dry

Eridan just rolled his eyes at him, rubbing the towel over his hair (careful of his horns) and heading out onto the deck to sit with his feet over the side. He wasn't too fussed about food right now. He was content to just sit and think for a bit and then maybe watch the water to see if the dolphins will come back.

He still left a sandwich aside, in case Eridan changed his mind. He slips the shades back on, more comfortable in the sun now, and starts drying his hair after the first snack.

Eridan was leaning back against the rise of the boat, eyes half closed as he studied the water. His legs were hanging over the edge of the boat, feet swinging slightly. He turned a bit when he heard something, smiling a little when he saw that the dolphins had returned. "Dave. Hey, Dave, dolphins."

He got the towel out of the way of his vision when he called him, and smiled right after, getting closer to the edge of the boat to see them properly. "Sweet." He mutters when he sees them, sitting down next to Eridan. "Think they're interested in the boat or nah, for them to be coming back? I think they're way closer too."

"They might be interested. Or they just decided to swim an' play around here. It's sorta hard to tell with dolphins. They always just gossip an' screech at each other about the most mundane of things." He shrugged, glancing at first Dave then the dolphins again.

"... Wanna swim with them?"

Dave laughs lightly as he speaks, nodding in acknowledgement, but was still pretty excited with the chance to swim with dolphins. "Sounds like a plan, let me just finish this." He let his legs hang off the edge of the boat, and stretched, making a good amount of mildly worrying sounds that came from his back with that.

Eridan glanced at him with a furrowed brow once he heard the noises, concerned. "You make a helluva lot of weird noises when you move. I could hear it underwater, thought it was the stones at first when we were in the cave because it sounded similar, but nah it's just you." He nudged him with his knee, head tilted slightly before he looked back to the dolphins.
