Eridan had gotten changed back into his still slightly damp swim trunks by the time Dave was there again. "You've got everything you need? The camera's got a water-proof case right?" He knew it would have, it was a stupid obvious question, but he just wanted to make sure, double check and all that.

He rolled his eyes at the second question. "Do seadwellers have gills? But, do you think I should bring it all in a backpack? I mean, I wont be able to bring it underwater."

He just waved him off, rolling his eyes.

"I wouldn't bring the backpack. If it can't be taken underwater don't bring it. I can carry some stuff if you need me to, I'm not fussed." He ran a hand through his hair, huffing as his fingers caught at a knot.

He nods, getting the body suit out of the backpack, and throwing it over his shoulder, and looked down at his feet. He supposed he shouldnt bring slippers either, so he took them off too. "Thats about it."

Eridan nodded and moved back to the back cabin to grab a long length of rope. He looped and knotted it around his own waist, letting it settle across his hips. It was just a precaution really, if Dave wanted to swim alone when they were there, Eridan didn't want him floating off trapped in a current or getting stuck anywhere without his realising it. "Cool. Shall we?" He gestured for him to go up the stairs first.

"Sure, what's the rope for?" He asked with a slightly raised eyebrow, patting his swimming trunks to make sure the mouth piece was there, before going out.

"Precaution. Don't want you floating off on some deep cave current now do we?" He grinned, climbing up the stairs and heading to the dinghy. He had contemplated bringing the little sea knife he had with him last time when he'd explored the place, but he decided against it in favour of knowing that his teeth and claws were sharper. "Let's go."

"Is this also because you want rights over my guts when i go to the other side?" He snickers, getting on the dinghy and once more sitting his ass down. "Alright, I'm good to go."

"Duh." He grinned and shook his head, climbing into the dinghy after Dave. He headed in the opposite direction to where they'd gone the day before. "It's quicker from the little bay around the corner here." He said by way of explanation, relaxing as they motored along. He didn't go very fast in the dinghy, seeing no need to, and also because he didn't want to hit anything that might surface for air.

He let himself relax, looking at the new view. He didnt really question why he was going to the other side, but he nodded at the explanation either way. "Have you seen snakes around here?"

"Snakes?" Eridan furrowed his brow, looking at Dave. "Like, sea snakes or normal snakes? I've seen a few sea snakes, but that was in the middle of summer." He still wasn't quite sure if that was a sea snake or just a very thin eel. Sea snake made the tale sound cooler though, so he kept with that version.

"There's not that many snakes, sea or other wise around islands. Or, at least not as many as one would think there to be."

"Good." He sighs a little in relief. "If the snake in question doesn't have a "solid' behind it and a really fucking cool bandana, It should stay the hell away from me. Well, i mean, except for Lalonde's snake. But in my defence he is like 3 months old and is named "solid"."

"You don't like snakes do you." He grinned, fins wiggling a bit in amusement as he looked at Dave. "Does that mean that not only do I have to fight sharks off, I have to ward off snakes from you? Jeez Dave leave all the work to me why don't you." He laughed and maneuvered around some outcropping rocks, heading for the beach.

"So you'd let me get bitten if it meant you wouldn't be?" He laughed with him, nudging him with his foot as he guided the dinghy to the beach. "Rude Dave. I'm supposed to let you climb all over me an' then take the bite from a potentially poisonous snake? You ask a lot." He teased.

"You shit. The compensation for your inside was this trip, now you're asking extra?" He beached the dinghy, climbed out and kicking water at Dave. He pulled the anchor out of the front compartment and walked up the beach a bit to stick it deep into the sand. He simply shook his head at the city boy comment, rolling his eyes.

"This also benefits you, so yeah, I'm asking for extra." He smiled, gasping when be got water kicked at him, but didnt do it back. Soon, he too got on land, hands shoved in his pockets. "Unless of course you want to bake a pie with poisoned insides."

Eridan pulled a face as he made sure the anchor was firm in the sand, hoping it wouldn't move when the tide rises when they're out. He put his glasses in the front compartment again, rather having fuzzy vision than losing them all together. He started up the beach, waiting a bit for Dave to gather all his stuff. "Do you want me to carry anything?"

Dave shook his head. "I'm good, just lead the way and make sure we don't get lost." He started heading towards the trees, at a slow pace, waiting for him to go ahead and take the lead.

Eridan shrugged and walked beside him. He'll take something if Dave wanted him to, but he was fine letting he lug all his shit around himself. "We're not going to get lost. I was checking the map this morning while you were still asleep. I know where to go." He set off through the trees, glad that the undergrowth wasn't too bad.

The trip was mostly quiet, though not awkwardly so. He took a few pictures too, always having an eye out for snakes, but never actually finding one, gladly. Not all snakes were small and cute like Rose's, and definitely not the wild ones.

Eridan pondered as he walked, absently taking note of the landmarks he'd made on the map when he'd first explored the island.

"Not long now." They could hear water now, faintly so but getting louder as Eridan led them along. They came upon a creek, and he noted the flow of it before heading left. "Come on. It's just through here."

It wasn't an overly big hole that the water cascaded into. About the size of a bedroom or so. Big enough to jump into that's for sure. The waterfall almost thundered over the edge, and Eridan led Dave around a bit to the right so that he could see it fall in.

He looked down at the waterfall, the first thing that came to mind being taking a picture. "You mind if I record when we get in the underwater cave?" He asks, putting the camera down to start getting the suit on, which was proving to be quite the task, surprisingly. It took him around a minute or two to get it on properly, and then he turned around. "Zip it up if you don't mind."

"You're welcome to do whatever bar actually damaging the stuff in the water and around it." Eridan turned to help zip him up as he spoke, making sure it was done up properly before stepping back. He knew that the height could be a bit daunting. He himself jumped with his eyes shut the first time.

"Do you want to jump together or one at a time? It's higher than it looks, but not by much."
