He had gotten the other stuff out of his pockets before he put on the suit, so now he was picking up his stuff, along with the already protected camera. He put the camera and the goggles around his neck. "Together, and I don't mind heights. Could you just hold onto this while we jump?" He handed him the mouthpiece

"Sure." He took the mouthpiece, holding it in his hand as he looked at Dave. "No time like the present?" He grinned, dragging Dave back a few paces with a grip on his wrist. "Run up jumps crete bigger splashes. It's scientifically proven." He at least waited until Dave was ready before they jumped. "Ready?"

He laughed softly, getting the goggles in place, and holding his camera with his other hand. "Sure. On the count to three. One, two.. three!" They both ran for a couple of seconds, Dave grinning as he jumped off, looking down.

It was a rather big splash, but to his luck, the hole was deep enough so that he didnt bump into anything. When he surfaced, he laughed a little, shaking his head like a wet dog

Eridan of course took the chance to cannonball his way in, letting go of Dave's hand and landing with a splash. He stayed underwater for a bit, floating around the middle of the pond and letting bubbles float up to Dave. He surfaced with a laugh, shaking his head and sending water flying everywhere. He laughed again, starting to swim towards the little rise of sand and pebbles.

Dave followed him, smiling all the way through, and checking if his camera was alright, even if he was 120% sure it was. He splashed him with water on the back of his head, snickering.

Eridan laughed and twisted on his back to kick his feet hard, sending a large spray over Dave. He ended up sitting on the sand rise, gills flaring as they took in the water still over his chest. He grinned wide at Dave, holding out the mouthpiece. "Well that was fun. Do you want me to hang onto this until we need to swim?"

He grinned, only closing his eyes out of instinct when he got splashed.

"Yeah, if you dont mind doing me that favour, like in a pocket or something. And yeah. It was pretty fun." He smiled

He didn't really have anything by means of a pocket on him, so he decided to just hold it for now. "I'd go do it again but fuck climbing the walls a this thing." He looked up, out of the circle of light above them. A glance behind him and he saw that the gap that led to the cave that glowed was still there, though in about waist deep water. "C'mon, this way."

He follows Eridan's gaze, nodding a little as he laughed. "No way I'm climbing that shit."

"Alright, tell me when I need the mouth piece and we're good to go."

"Will do." He stood up, one hand holding the mouthpiece as he beckoned Dave to follow him. "It's a bit of a tight squeeze walking through it, but it's possible." He warned, turning side ways to move through the gap. There would probably be just enough room for the camera to fit, unless Dave held it closer to the water as he walked through.

Dave did not want to risk damaging the camera, so he took it off his neck for now, the band wrapped around his hand so that it wouldnt be dropped easily, and he started making his way through the gap.

Eridan was waiting on the opposite side of the gap. The ledge dropped slightly there, making it now mid chest height and he held out a hand to steady Dave as he came through. He waited until he was steady on his feet before continuing on. This little cave was much darker than the first, but short, so they were faced with another gap soon enough.

"Are you sure we're gonna get through?" He asked more for the sake of asking rather than because he doubted him. When faced with the smaller gap, he had to shrink his lanky self a little, but still managed to walk along it.

"We might have to swim with the next one. Trust me Dave." He glanced back at him, waiting on the other side of the next gap. This was cave was rather round, and even had another sand island in the middle of it. The next gap was almost completely underwater. Eridan turned to Dave, untying the rope from around his waist and handing him the mouthpiece. "This is probably the last small gap that we'll have to go to. The ones to get back to the ocean are much larger." He stepped closer to tie to rope securely around Dave's waist, double checking the knot before retying the other end around his own waist. "If you feel uncomfortable or trapped or anything in there just yank on the rope."

He let him tie the rope around his waist, dealing with getting the mouthpiece ready as he looked around, but it was far too dark for him to see much.

"Sounds good. If I see a snake or something lifeI-threatening 'll tug it extra hard, so you'll know if I do." He said with a slight smirk, clearly joking. He then placed the mouthpiece in his mouth, ready to go through.

Eridan just rolled his eyes and bopped his forehead. "Nutter." He grinned and turned back to the gap. He could see it, more the outline than full detail but it was enough.

He hesitated a bit before going in, wondering if it would be easier for them both if there was a bit more... light.

He sighed and slipped under the water, concentrating to light up his photophores as he went.

Dave was fully ready to go through this in the dark, but when he saw violet light, his eyebrows shot up and he grinned. He was really interested in the way he lit up. He'd have to call him his personal life-sized glow stick, he noted.

Eridan didn't have that much of a qualm against glowing like this. It would make a nice effect for when they got into the cave, he mused. Even if he particularly didn't like glowing a stupid blotchy violet.

He glanced back occasionally at Dave, the irises of his eyes even glowing a bit before he continued swimming through the gap. When he finally got through the other side he was relieved to see that this cave wasn't completely underwater. They could stand in the shallows and it would only go up to about thigh height.

Dave could only really appreciate the sight when he reached the other side, and by sight he means Eridan, since he couldnt see much besides him. "This is nice. Kinda chill-y, but nice."

"Your appreciativeness knows no bounds." He said, rolling his eyes. "come on, this way. Remember that cave I told you about? The one that glowed? It's through here." He led the way, not bothering to untie the rope just yet and just leading Dave along through the large cavern. There was a sort of low hanging archway at the end, and he ducked under it to come out into the cave he spoke of.

"I do recall hearing about glowing things, but the only glowing thing i see is a human-sized glow stick." He teased, going after him either way, liking that they were tied together still so that he could follow easily.

As soon as he was on the other side though, his eyebrows raised high, and he looked around, pretty amazed. He really wasn't joking when he said it was a glowing cave, all of it seemed to glow.

"I'm not human-sized. I'm troll-sized, get it right." He huffed at him, stretching a bit now that he had room.

Eridan moved out of the way to let Dave through, smiling a bit at his expression. Part of the glow of the cave had gone violet, reflective of his own light due to some tone behind whatever was making it glow. The violet soon disappeared as Eridan damped down the bioluminescence quickly, not wanting to take away from the beauty of the cave.

"Told you it glowed."

He liked the glow either way, even though he did like the blue-ish white a little better. He looked around, everything about his face remaining stoic, except for his eyebrows. Kind of a habit.

"It's pretty neat, honestly." It was also a bit unreal that something like this had always been so close to him.

"Yeah. I'm glad the water's low in here, makes it look a lot better. When I was here last there was only the smallest bit at the top above water, it looked a lot less impressive then let me tell you." He came to stand beside him, looking around.

Dave didn't really feel like taking pictures for now. Now he just wanted to enjoy the actual view. "Did it not glow underwater too? Because honestly that sounds impressive as shit too."
