He handed the book to him, wrapping his arms around his waist and leaning his face against his shoulder with a sigh. "I dunno really. I picked it up from the library under the fantasy section, but really it's not as bad as I thought it would be."

"Betcha it'th got wizardth in it." Sollux muttered, and Eridan flushed, lifting his head to scowl at him. "Fuck off."

The book had wizards in it.

Dave was gladly held as he marked the page and started reading the summary.

He wants to laugh, but he also doesn't want to make Eridan feel bad, so he just smiles. "Not only do you write wizard fanfic, you also read it."

Sollux laughed, grinning smugly. "You're thtill writing shit? Theriouthly Eridan?"

Eridan scowled and hid his face against Dave's chest, grumbling.

Sollux smirked, flipping him off and finishing his sandwich. Eridan stayed hiding against Dave's chest, not wanting to show off his stupid blush right now. He did not wake up to be teased. Or, rather, he did not look up from his book to be teased.

He rolled his eyes, but happily kissed him back. "Yeah well, if you weren't embarrassing me then you'd get kisses earlier." He pecked him on the lips before moving him off his lap to go get a sandwich. When he came back he tucked himself up against his side, munching contently.

When he came back, Dave wrapped an arm around his waist, pressing little kisses to his shoulder and cheek. He briefly wondered if Eridan had felt weird about him sleeping with Sollux.

Eridan had felt more lonely than weird, which is probably why he had such a rubbish nights sleep. He wasn't going to tell Dave that though. It didn't take long for him to finish off his sandwich, and he wiped his fingers on his shorts.
