Eridan glances back at them occasionally, and he has to smile a little when he sees that Dave's still holding Sollux's hand.

Sollux is scowling, but the expression changes to almost awe once he sees the water fall. "We're jumping down that?"

"Of course not. We're cannon balling down that." He grins, tugging Sollux until they were right on the edge.

"C'mon, all together now."

Eridan snickered, taking Dave's other hand and looking over at Sollux. "Scared, Captor?"

"Choke on a dick Ampora."

"Been there, done that, let's jump." He tugged on Dave's hand as he launched himself up and out and then down down down until they hit the water with a splash.

Dave grinned as he threw himself, squeezing both of their hands, and landing with a huge splash.

Sollux did open his mouth to scream, but found that by the time he hit the water he was practically laughing and felt utterly exhilarated. It was... the same as those few times when he's hovered up high and let himself drop just to feel the freefall.

He surfaces from the water gasping for air and grinning. "Okay, yeah, that'th fun."

Eridan's grinning as well when he pops up out of the water next to him.

Dave laughs, combing his wet hair back, and splashes Sollux's face. Even with those pointy teeth, he found his smile to be pretty adorable. "Ready to go to the underwater cave?"

Sollux was still holding onto Dave, relying on him to help keep him afloat. He was kicking his legs, but it didn't help too much. "I gueth."

Eridan swam closer, uncoiling the rope and first tying it around Dave's waits, before tying it around Sollux. "Mouthpieces in. It's underwater for the first two caves, and then it's the midwater drop off one, and then we swim to the bioluminescent one. I'll do the glowy bullshit, but the ropes better."

Dave put on his mouth piece and pats Sollux's back comfortingly, tugging a bit on the rope to make sure it was secure. Sollux would be fine if he just held onto him.

Sollux put his mouthpiece in, and glanced up at the clear blue sky above them. He knows that Eridan will be able to get them out, and if not he can blast his way out and deal with the pounding headache and hiccups later. But still. It was daunting. He held onto Dave's wrist and nodded.

Eridan tied the rope securely around his own waist, concentrated for a quick secomd before lighting up and diving under water, slowly pulling them along through the first set of tunnels.

Dave turned on his camera's light, and held Sollux's hand as they started swimming with Eridan, the natural light slowly fading away.

Sollux adjusts to the dim light quicker than he thought he would, and focusing on a glowing Eridan and the feel of Dave's hand in his makes him feel better. It's actually rather interesting, once he gets over the fact that he's underwater and in a cave.

Eridan leads them up through the third little cave and to the place where they have to walk through to the next one. "Alright?"

Dave gives him a thumbs up, and looks back at Sollux to see if he's alright too. He wasnt going to take off the mouthpiece for less than a minute, for fucks sake.

Sollux nodded, the glow of his eyes showing off his head movement. Eridan nodded, leading them up onto the edge. They broke through the water, and he took a second to let them take their mouthpieces out to breathe normally while the walked slowly along the narrow trail to the next cave.

Dave didn't let go of his hand since when they first got in the water, which is kind of adorable. Once they were at the next cave, Dave took some pictures, a small smile on his face, but quickly got ready to keep going.

Eridan waited for Dave to take some photos, though there really wasn't much to take photos of in these caves. "It's another underwater one, we jump down into this cave and then swim through the passage, and then we come into the cave with the mound of shells and dead coral and stuff and the bioluminescents." He waited until they had the mouthpieces back in before diving back in.

Dave nodded, and tugged Sollux a little closer to him before they dived in again. The water was a little too cold for him here, but he'd deal with it.

Eridan glowed brighter as this cave was a lot darker than the other ones since it was deeper. But, soon enough pinpricks of light were appearing above them, and the mass of shells and coral and bits of rock were easier to see in front of them with Dave's camera light. They burst through the water soon enough, and Eridan led them over to the mound coming out of the water.

Dave looked around when he could finally see most of the shells, smiling to himself. Now he was mostly ignoring the other two in favour of paying attention to what was going on around him. He seemed pretty dazed, despite it not being his first time there

Sollux was awed, and once they were sitting on the dry bit of the shell mound, he took the goggles off and the mouthpiece out so he could stare properly. "Thith ith much better than you." He breathed, looking up with wide eyes.

Eridan tried not to grin when he saw Sollux being awed, dimming his own light so that he wouldn't ruin the experience.

Dave took off his goggles and mouth piece as well, and smiled at them both. It was a nice sight to share with someone. "Pretty, right? First thing he showed me when we got here." He muttered, smiling at Eridan in particular then.

Eridan smiled at him as well, moving them over a little so they could sit in the middle of the mound and look up. His own freckle-like-lights were dimmed as much as he could so that he wouldn't ruin it and he just lent against Dave once he was sitting.

Dave leaned back against Eridan, kissing his shoulder, and gave Sollux's hand a soft squeeze after he twined their fingers. This felt right. He didn't even want to take any pictures right now, that's how right this felt.

Sollux glanced at Dave when he felt him squeeze his fingers, but found that he couldn't care much to point out that it wasn't a black move. He was simply too content, so he squeezed Dave's hand back and look up.

His smile widened a little, and he glanced over at Sollux for a brief second before just stopping to watch it all himself. He then moved to be holding Eridan's hand too, and kissed his knuckles.

Eridan kissed his cheek, smiling a little and just leaning against Dave.

Sollux wondered whether this is what the stars look like at night. He lives in the city, and he hasn't seen much of the night sky before.
