Dave slept like a rock, only clinging to Sollux further through the night, like he usually did with Eridan. By the time the morning came, he had his cheek smooshed against Sollux's chest, and both an arm and a leg draped over him

When Sollux woke up, he found that he couldn't really move much. Dave was clinging too tight to him to move, and he found that he actually.. didn't want to. He didn't want to disturb Dave from sleeping, and he knew that this was sort of red or pale territory, but he couldn't help it.

He just looked so peaceful.

Dave looked very innocent in his sleep, especially with how his mouth was just slightly parted for him to breathe through it. He'd stay asleep for at least another hour if Sollux didn't do something about it though.

Sollux found he really needed to piss, and carefully (why was he being careful?! Who knows) moved away from Sollux, replacing himself with a pillow and the rest of the blankets before going to relieve his bladder then head up to the cockpit where Eridan was.

Dave tried to cling to Sollux as he moved away, but the pillow seemed to do the trick. In fact, another fourth minutes passed before he finally woke up.

When he did though, he was a little bummed out about Sollux not being there. He got up either way, putting on a pair of dry swimming trunks before going up for breakfast.

Eridan was reading, glasses pushed up his nose and the blanket loose around his legs as he payed all attention to the book. Sollux was dropping bits of pringle crumbs over the side to the fish by the time Dave came out.

Dave quietly sneaked behind Sollux to see what he was doing, munching on a sandwich, and smiled. "Feeding the fish?" He muttered next to his ear, wanting to scare him.

Sollux jerked, having not heard Dave approach and nearly fell over the railing of the boat into the water. He caught himself with psionics, turning and glaring up at Dave. He flipped him off in answer, turning back to watching the fish gulp at the bits of pringles.

He laughs, grinning sleepily in content. He then leaned over the railing, next to Sollux, and smiled wider at the sight. "Didn't even know you liked fish that didn't have two legs."

"I don't like fish." He grumbled, sitting back and putting the pringles, which was the sour cream one, to the side and scowling at Dave. "It'th just time conthuming. He'th utheleth." He gestured over his shoulder at Eridan. "Hathn't moved thinthe I came up here. I think he'th been here for a few hourth."

He reached to eat some Pringles, not really bothered by the fact that he used them to feed fish. "Have you tried talking to him, mister cranky pants?"

"Hey, rude, I thaid hello." He actually did, because he remembered that Dave had insisted he be "civil". "He didn't react."

He shrugs, not really knowing what to say to that. "That's cool of you. Can't keep him from reading though. Well, I'm here now. Hello."

"I'll throw your ath over the thide." He said, relaxing back. He caught sight of Dave's sandwich and frowned. "Where'th mine?"

"Uh, with all the others? I kept them next to the fridge. Want some?" He offered him the sandwich for him to take a bite out of.

"Next time bring me food regardleth." He propped his feet up in Dave's lap, settling back to eat his sandwich.

Eridan still hadn't noticed they were there.

Dave just thought he was too busy reading to pay attention to them, so he didn't do a thing about it.

Sollux kicked him, his face scrunching up a little as he drew his feet away again and just scowled at him. "You're such a shitty lap rest."

"Youre such a shitty conversation partner." He rolls his eyes, deciding to bother Eridan. He sat on his lap, between him and the book, and kissed his cheek.

Eridan jerked a little when Dave suddenly appeared between his face and the book, but after a lot of blinking he shut the book and kissed him back, slinging an arm around his waist. "Hello to you too."
