"No. No you should sleep." He pressed a little shaky kiss to his neck. "If the light bothers you I can go sleep on the couch." He didn't want Dave staying up with him. And he didn't really know how to remedy it. He tugged a blanket around them, half covering Dave's head.

"It doesn't bother me, don't worry." He nuzzled his hair. "Just making sure." He'd most likely jump on one foot while singing the national anthem backwards if Eridan asked him to.

He kept on tugging at the blankets, eventually getting one fully over the both of them. Even though it made it a little bit stuffy for him, it dampened the light considerably, enough so that Eridan could still see that it was on, but hopefully not enough for Dave to be affected by it.

He smiled softly, and tugged the blanket down. "Babe, I'm fine. Really." He was happy that he cared for him even right now, but still. "Just be comfortable. I'm comfortable as I am." He kissed the top of his head in appreciation.

"I can have the blanket over my head." He slung an arm around his waist, his words slurring already as the pill started working. "You should be allowed to sleep comfortably as well. Especially 'cause I woke you up."

"Even if you could, I can't. I'll suffocate in there." He kissed Eridan all over his cheeks. "Don't be cute, just shhh. I'm fine."

"Promise you'll wake me if it's too bad for you. Or just turn of the light. I'll be fine." He won't, not while he's awake, but maybe when he's asleep he'll be fine?

Dave woke up early in the morning with the rays of sunshine just partying all over his face. He groaned a bit, and closed his eyes tighter, as if it would make it go away, but alas it did not.

Eridan slept for the dead, which was great because no dreams. But because he hadn't taken the sleeping pills when he first went to sleep, he was still not out now. One arm slung across Dave's waist and his face still pressed to his chest.

Dave noticed this, and attempted to stay there for as long as he managed, but an hour later he was moving and replacing his body with a pillow for Eridan to hold. He pressed a soft kiss to his hair, and went to eat breakfast.

Eridan only mumbled when Dave left him, curling up to the pillow tighter and remaining fast asleep.

He didn't wake up until Dave had finished his breakfast, and he woke up groggy and confused. He stumbled out of the back cabin, the affects of the sleeping drug still in him. "Dawe?"

Dave was sitting up on a counter, and glanced up, still finishing his toast. Aw gosh that was adorable. "Hey babe, sup? Slept well?" He smiles a little.

He hummed, nuzzling his neck for a bit before pulling back to go eat. He felt drained, tired, and thought about going for a quick dip to wake up properly before they set off to sail. It never was good to sail tired, even in daylight.

Dave went to the fridge to fetch himself another bottle of AJ, because he's worth it, and went back to his place to drink it as he watched Eridan. "Think we can sail us to the other island? You look like shit."

"You, are the most flattering person I've ever met. I don't know how I haven't lasted before your charms before." He said dryly, rolling his eyes at him. "I'm fine. I'll just take a quick swim to wake up, and then we can go. I'm not too tired not to sail the short distance of the islands. If I felt like I couldn't do it, I'd tell you."

"I'll just be in and out, so it's probably not worth it. You could check all the sail lines on the boat for me though? Just check for wear or fraying or anything. I don't think we'll be sailing to the next island, because there isn't really enough wind but I want to make sure."
