"Edible." He smiled, shifting over to lean against him again as he ate. "Thank you." He kissed his cheek.

"Just 'edible'?" He pouted a little, though it was already a small victory, since he couldn't cook for shit. He smiled though, and nuzzled his cheek in return. "You're welcome. I love you."

"Yes, edible. Which means it tastes nice, because if it didn't I probably wouldn't touch it. I'm not awake enough to be nice if I don't mean it." He smiled, leaning against him and putting his plate down once he was done.

"You know what? Fair enough." He laughed a bit, and started petting his hair. Dave kissed the top his head once Eridan was done. "I'm gonna check on the rope then."

He nodded, yawning and stretching his arms above his head. "I'll be back in a bit." He kissed his cheek again, heading to his room to slip on some swimmers before heading up into the cockpit, and then diving into the water.

Dave smiled and nodded, going to do the job he was assigned. He checked on the ropes carefully, but all in all, there didn't seem to be much problems. The ropes were mostly good, and thick enough to go on even with the small flaws they had.

Those ropes had lasted Eridan a year now, as he had to replace his old ones after a really bad storm.

Eridan was swimming mainly around and under the boat, glancing up every so often and waving once he saw Dave.

Dave noticed Eridan a few seconds later, and smiled, waving back. He leaned against the edge of the boat, just watching him.

Eridan looked more relaxed now, at ease and more awake. He was lazily swimming around now, not even really kicking his feet. He looked a bit like a shark, especially with his grey skin.

Eridan smiled, rolling onto his back and sticking his tongue out at him. Eventually he surfaced, pulling himself up on the side of the boat next to Dave and grinning. "C'mere and gimme a hug Dave."

He smirked, knowing exactly what he was doing, but he threw his shirt to the side either way, and knelt to go give him a hug. Oh shit that was a full body shiver right now, he was /cold/

Eridan nuzzled at his cheek almost obnoxiously, feeling nice and refreshed now that he was more awake. He was also much colder, the heat he'd gathered from the blankets completely gone.

He bit his lip hard for a moment, trying to get over himself, and pulled back after a few seconds. Nope. Abort. "Shit man, it's like I'm titanic and you're the iceberg, fucking abort mission."

He pouted, fins drooping almost comically. "Aw. But you're nice and warm and I need you." He held his arms out, trying not to grin and ruin it. He couldn't help snickering a few seconds later though, leaning over to kiss his cheek before moving to get the boat ready to leave and to get the anchor up.

He nearly gave into it, because he's weak to everything involving Eridan, but shook his head firmly. "Hell no, get your freezing ass a blanket. You can need me after that."

He followed Eridan, and put his shirt back on, trying to warm himself back up.

He pouted at him, properly now and just turns to haul the anchor up and get the boat ready for moving. The tide was with them, so they had an easy time getting out into deeper waters before he turned the bow and started heading towards the next island they were to stay at.

Dave got a blanket for Eridan and one for himself, just promptly throwing it over Eridan once he was back, and sitting down with his own.

He smiled at Dave in thanks, stretching out once they were under way and tugging the blanket more firmly around his shoulders. "It should take only a few hours, depending on whether the currents and stuff. So we should get there for around midday?"

"Aw sweet, loads of time doing absolutely nothing." He smiled, and the memory of their first kiss came to mind, making his smile widen and soften. That was definitely a good memory. "Get your feet on my lap."

"I'd say we can play I Spy but it gets really boring after a bit." He grinned, and happily moved his feet to his lap. He adjusted until he was sitting more comfortably, stretched out with one hand on the wheel.
