He hugs him around his waist with a huge grin, and covers the side of his neck in small kisses. "I love you."

His fins wiggled happily, the little lights dotting the tines moving as well. He turned to face Dave fully, tucking his face against his neck to hide his blush. "Love you too."

He settled by hugging him regularly, instead of being glued to his side awkwardly, and kisses the top of his head. "And you're absolutely the most gorgeous thing I've ever laid my eyes on. And do you know how many times a day I look in the mirror? It's a lot."

"I am not. You've seen the creatures that swim in there." He nodded to the water. "And you've seen sun sets and sun rises. So I am not the most beautiful thing you've laid eyes on, my dear humble one." He kissed his jaw, pulling him to sit on the now cold sand as they watched the moonlight over the water.

He sat down on Eridan's lap, and leaned back against his chest happily.

"You're too sweet." He wrapped his arms around his waist and kissed the side of his neck. He was glad they were sitting like this, because his face was literally on fire with blush right now. Damn you Dave.

He might not see it, but he could feel it, since Eridan didn't feel cold, but just pleasantly mild. "Can I keep going or are you gonna burst a blood vessel? Cus you're turning into a glow stick." He teased, and brought one of Eridan's up to kiss it with a smile.

"You're going to shut up now." He was a bit surprised to find that he didn't actually want him to stop. He liked hearing this, hearing all these positive things. He hid his face in Dave's hair, voice a little muffled. "... If you tone it down a bit you can keep going."

He smiled wider when Eridan gave him permission to keep going, and laced their fingers with a hum of approval. "I'll try, but no promises. I'm bad at those." He then starts kissing over his every knuckle again, only to place Eridan's hand over his heart. "I love being with you like this."

Eridan kept his face to Dave's hair, smiling a little as he squeezed his hand. The steady thump-thump of his heart under his palm had him relaxing a littlr, leaning against Dave as he listened. "Like how? Relaxed?"

Eridan squeezed him gently in the hug, nuzzling his hair a little and continued just listening. He didn't really have anything to say.

He seemed happy to hear that, and just turned around in Eridan's lap. He loosely wrapped his legs around the other's waist, and let his hands rest on his chest as they traded kisses back and forth.

Eridan was happy to trade kisses like that, his hands slowly rubbing over Dave's back as they kissed. His fingers gently pushed at a knot in his shoulder before dragging down his spine in a sort of comforting gesture.

He nosed at his hair, eyes closed and glowing brighter than before. He kissed Dave's forehead, leaving his lips pressed there for now as he cuddled him close. "I love you. Always."

Dave took a moment to reply, but he eventually did. "You know, me too." He ended up saying, and rested his cheek against Eridan's chest.

He kissed his hair again, relaxed and content. "I'm glad." He was quiet for a bit, before eventually saying. "You know, I never thought I'd get someone ever again. In any quadrant, or in any human-relationship way. I believed what they said to me when they said my personality was too crass, too stuck up, and when they said I was too much work for anyone person to handle. When they said changing who I am would help, I tried and it still took until you came along before anyone even paid a lick of attention to me."
