Eridan grinned, taking one of Dave's hands in his as they started walking back down the pier. They got to his car quick enough, and he waited a bit once they were in. "Where are we headed, monsieur Dave?"

Dave got in the passenger's seat right after him, and smirked as he buckled up. "Hmm. Back to my sweet ass crib man, chop chop." He said playfully

He rolled his eyes, but started the car and headed off towards Dave's "sweet ass crib". They hit a few traffic lights, which meant waiting and Eridan tapping at the steering wheel, but otherwise they got there quick enough.

He smiled to himself when Eridan rolled his eyes, and leaned back against the seat. "I love you too."

Once they got to his apartment, Dave got out, waiting for Eridan before he headed upstairs.

Eridan had a change of clothes in a bag in his car, which he carried with him up to Dave's place. He didn't want to sleep in his fancy clothes after all.

Dave loosened up his tie further once he got to his apartment, and headed to his room to strip down to his boxers. Once that was done, he took care of properly putting away the suit.

Eridan changed in the bathroom quickly, neatly folding his clothes and placing them back in the bag. He can always iron them out later if he really has to. Once that was finished, he moved to flop onto the couch with a sigh.

He walked to the living room to flop down next to Eridan, and cuddled up to him instantly, already worn out.

"I didn't tire you out that much... did I?" He murmured, draping an arm over Dave's waist and leaning against him with a sighl.

He shook his head, and then nuzzled his neck. "I just like cuddling you." A small lie doesn't hurt anyone. Besides, it technically wasn't a lie. "Love me like one of your aquariums."

"I don't have an aquarium." He smiled though, pulling Dave close and holding him tight. "I wish I did though." He didn't know that it had been mentioned to Dave about him wanting to buy an aquarium, and he probably wasn't going to tell him if he continued to think that Dave didn't know.

"No I wouldn't. I'd get you to help me, then feel bad about taking up even more of your time. It's probably best that I don't have an aquarium. I'm not good at taking care of things." He nuzzled his hair, smiling a little.

Dave snorts as he tries not to laugh, and places a kiss on his neck. "If I could, I'd give you all of my time. But then I'd have nothing to complain about and we'd be bored."

"Yeah, true." He snickered a little, sighing after. "Still, imagine me having an aquarium. I could register to have my aquarium used as a rehabilitation center for any wounded sealife that the other aquariums or places don't want to take of or don't have the room for."

"I wouldn't be much of a hero. Just someone to take care of them." He shut his eyes as well, relaxing more now in the comfort (or, almost comfort) of Dave's place. "You'd get free pass to the aquarium. And you can even swim with some sharks if you want. I'd obviously need to have some qualified people on the premises though... And I'm not qualified. I guess I could be, but that means another couple of years in university."

Dave smiles, feeling sleepy already. He was probably close to just passing the hell out for the night. "I'd get some quality pictures. And you could always pay them in animal pets, I'm sure they'd love it." A few seconds after he says that, he's out like a light.

"Maybe I'll start another course now, I'm close enough to finishing the one I'm currently doing." He mused, though it took a bit before he realised that Dave was actually asleep. He had to smile at that, and then gently moved himself to stand, gathering Dave in his arms and carrying him to his bed. The couch wasn't very comfortable yet, and he didn't want to sleep on it.

Dave didn't really move, way too tired, and just curled up next to Eridan in bed once he was on it as well. Sometimes, Dave is just 5 years old.

Eridan wasn't really tired, he was just drained, so he was content to lie in bed with Dave cuddled up next to him. He did get bored eventually, but his phone was within reach so he easily spent most of the night doing a bit of online research about aquariums and rehabilitation centers for sealife. He remembered how much he wanted to own an aquarium, but still knew that it wouldn't happen. Sollux would tell Feferi if he heard, and then Feferi would make him sell it. Still, he can dream.

Eridan did end up falling asleep an hour or two before dawn, his chin on his chest and his phone having fallen from his hand to lie on his stomach.

Sollux couldn't do shit, actually, since it was part of their agreement when they started the blackrom. So Eridan could get an aquarium, actually.

Dave woke up at around ten, having no classes since it was Saturday, ,and only working in the evening. Tomorrow was his day off though, so he could enjoy a day without work or school soon enough. He didn't move, he just looked up at Eridan sleepily, trying to figure out how the hell he got to bed.
