"Sure." He probably wouldn't eat much of it, because he didn't really like it, but he had biscuits waiting at Dave's, and he'll at least take a bite.

He nodded, and ended up calling a waitress over to explain what they wanted to do. She ended up saying it was alright, and they could take it on some small boxes. She then went to get them the bill, and the sheer amount he had to pay gave him a small heart attack, but it was cool. Totally cool. After all, he was expecting this. He reached out into his wallet, taking his card out so that he could pay with it, and then the girl happily left to go get them their desserts.

Eridan felt guilty again when he saw Dave's expression, and decided he'll be buying some more groceries over the next couple of days. And he had the key to Dave's place now, so he could drop them off when he wasn't there, even if that made Dave get cranky at him for doing it "behind his back" or whatever.

Eridan finished his drink, sighing a little in content. "Thank you. Really. I'll bake you a whole slew of delicious baked goods for you over the next few weeks. Might even try my hand at a lava cake."

Dave seemed to relax when Eridan spoke, and smiled. "Hell yeah, I'm down for that. Date food is every day food." He reached over to hold Eridan's hand, and kissed the back of it. "Did you like it here? Anywhere else you want to go to?"

He smiled at him, fins wiggling a little. "It's nice. The service is pretty good, though it could stand to be a little bit more space out so that it's not as crowded." The waitress came with their desserts then, and he smiled his thanks at her. "C'mon. Let's go to the end of the pier and fatten ourselves on these things."

Dave happily got up, and held Eridan's hand again after smoothing out his suit, the desserts on his other hand. "Alright, it's on. That's the best plan you've ever made."

Eridan led the way out of the restaurant, heading down the pier and towards the benches on the end. He sat down on one, overlooking the ocean and leaned back with a sigh.

Dave loosened up his tie a little once he was outside, and once he sat down, he put the desserts to the side, just taking a moment to relax.

Eridan slung an arm around his shoulders, pulling Dave a little closer and pressed a kiss to his temple. "Are you okay?"

"You looked tense and worried. Maybe I shouldn't have agreed to this." He frowned a little, squeezing Dave's shoulder. "I didn't want to make you uncomfortable."

"I don't like being spoiled." A lie, but a small one. He liked being treated to things, but he knew that it was a bad thing to want it continuously. He didn't deserve constantly being spoiled. "I like spending time with you." He said again, kissing his temple.

He laughs softly, nuzzling his shoulder. "Yeah, I'd like that a lot. Thanks."

He kissed his cheek before he grabbed one of the boxes, grabbing the soft dessert and taking a bite with a delighted hum.

Eridan watched the water, a pretty neutral expression on his face as he watched how the moonlight filtered over the slow waves. He looked to Dave once he felt his hand, smiling a little. "Done?"
