Eridan had woken up an hour or two before Dave had, but instead of getting up and getting food or even tea like a normal person, he decided he liked the comfort of being hugged by Dave instead.

He hadn't noticed Dave was awake, and was, in fact, talking with Kanaya. His brow was furrowed, and he was chewing at his lip like it held the answers to all his questions. Why should he be getting drilled on Dave and Sollux's blackrom? He wasn't even apart of it! ...Technically anyway. They were somewhat quadrant corners.

Dave though, didn't know that, he just knew Eridan was awake and that he could climb over him to get all the cuddles, so that's what he did, flopping right over his chest and hugging him.

Eridan lifted his phone out of the way so that he could look at him, a smiling wiping away the traces of worry and concern for himself from his face. He shot Kanaya a 'I'll talk in a bit hang on' before just putting his phone to the side and hugging Dave. "Mornin' sunshine."

Dave smiled wide, eyes just barely open. "G' morning. Did you sleep well?"

Eridan just nodded, because he did get at least a few hours of sleep and that was enough for him. "You slept like a log though. You didn't even stir when I carried you from the couch."

"So that's how I got here." He muttered, but just shrugged, pulling himself further up so that he could get a kiss. Dave slept for more than ten hours. "You're just that great of a cuddler."

"Dork." He said fondly, holding him close and tugging the blankets nice and tight around them. It was warm, and he was utterly comfortable. No moving for him, nuh uh. "Or you were just that tired."

He nuzzled his neck again, relaxing and making a happy sound when he was covered in blankets. "Nah, I always sleep a ton, doesn't matter if I'm tired. I do sleep better with someone though."

"I have found that bit of information out, yes." He grinned, a little amused. "You're very cuddly in your sleep. You're like my own personal space heater, it's great."

He wondered whether he should answer that, and decided that Dave would probably find out anyway. "Texting. I'm not in trouble, don't worry." He added, kissing his forehead.

He nodded, and kissed his neck in return. "You can go back to that if you want, I'll just stay here. Forever."

"You'd get bored too quickly if you're there forever." He grinned, leaning his forehead against Dave's briefly. "I won't be too long, and you can just tell me to put it down whenever." He picked his phone back up, settling closer to Dave while he finished off his conversation with Kanaya.

"Don't test me." He smiled, and leaned up to give him an eskimo kiss. "Sure, take your time though, I'm lazy." With that, he went back to just kissing his neck and getting cuddles.

"I'm just stating a fact." He turne his attention back to his phone, though pretty soon the frown is back on his face as he replies to her inquires about what he's doing in regards to the black relationship. He keeps repeating that he isn't doing anything, because it's not his relationship to deal with, and that he'll be there for Dave no matter what happens.

Dave stays there for a long while, thinking of what he could do today and about what he could eat, and ends up sitting up after roughly ten minutes. "Alright, I'm gonna eat something. You want me to bring you breakfast in bed?"

"Nah." His eyes didn't leave the screen. "I'll be out in a bit. Maybe put the kettle on though, I could do with some more tea. Thanks Dave."

He had to raise a brow now, and just stayed there for a bit longer. "Are you alright?"

"... Can I answer that when I finish this conversation?" He looked up at him briefly before just smiling. "I'm kidding. I'm fine. Just a little frustrated. And tea deprived. I didn't have a single cup yesterday."

Dave ended up smiling back at him, and leaning down to kiss his forehead. "Alright, I'll wait then." With that, he went over to his kitchen to eat something and make Eridan's tea.

Eridan rolled himself up in the blankets, curling up on his side because it was more comfier and trying to figure out what he could say to make Kanaya see that he wasn't going to do anything for this shit.

Eventually though he just rang her, and then told her to wait a second. "Dave?"

He took a while to decide on what he should be eating, but eventually decided on doughnuts and chocolate milk. As he prepared the milk, he also started warming up Eridan's tea.

Dave walked back to the room with Eridan's tea in hand once he called, a doughnut in the other. "Yeah?"

"Can you just, sorry for this by the way, but can you just explain, in clear concise words that are easy to understand." He had to do a bit of insulting here, knowing that Kanaya could hear him, "Whatever agreement shit thingo that you've got going on with Sollux, please?" He held his phone out, sitting up to take his tea.

"Depends on who's asking." He rose a brow, a bit afraid that if he said too much they'd do something about it. He gave Eridan his tea though, and sat down as he took the phone.

"Kanaya. She thinks I'm being intrusive. I don't even know what it's about, and if you prefer me not knowing then feel free to take it elsewhere." He sighed into his tea, closing his eyes and just inhaling the steam.
