Threading his fingers through his own hair, he got it off his face, and let his eyed lid a bit as he watched the dolphins, the sun on his shoulders and back feeling pretty good

"Oh yes, how could I forget." He rolled his eyes and nudged him with his knee again, smiling a bit. He stretched his own legs out, feeling his knees click as his joints readjusted. "C'mon, lets go swimming before you really turn into a tomato." He grinned. The sun wasn't too strong at this time of year, which was good for both of them.

"I'm from Texas, I doubt I'll be turning into a tomato any time soon." He rolled his eyes, smiling and nudging him back. "Worse case scenario I tan more. Oh no. What a horrible fate."

With that, he got up, finishing the second sandwich, and putting away everything he brought outside, getting the goggles and mouthpiece again. "Alright, I'm ready."

"Oh the horror. However will you stand it?" He rolled his eyes again. He seemed to be doing that a lot around Dave.

He waited until Dave was standing near him again, goggles on his head and mouthpiece in his hand. "Good." He grinned and grabbed him around the middle, hauling him up and dropping him over board. "That's for jabbing me in the side!"

"What are you- oh SHIT." He grinned as he was flung overboard, only having time to close his eyes before landing with a big splash.

When he surfaced, he laughed, trying to splash him to get him back for it. "You jerk, get your ass over here so that I can kick it."

Eridan was laughing as he climbed up to a higher bit of the deck, leaping into the air to cannonball over the side and land with a splash. Their splashing had scared the dolphins a bit away, no more than a few meters from their earlier position, but they'd be back.

"You couldn't kick my ass even if it were presented on a silver platter to you. It's far too pretty to be kicked. I have the prettiest ass." He stuck his tongue out, splashing him back and pushing his hair out of his face.

"You have a flat ass that's what you have, wake up and smell the reality of your lack of buttocks." He smiled.

Soon after, he put the mouthpiece in place, goggles too, and dived into the water. A few seconds later Eridan was being tugged down hard by his waist.

"At least it's not as flat as yours." He quipped back, smirking as he splashed him again.

He let himself be pulled under, even moving his arms a bit to help. He squirmed out of Dave's grip a second later, diving instantly deeper to skim along the sand. He looked up at Dave, grinning before beckoning him down. He glanced up to where the dolphins were, studying them. "I'm not too sure how close they'll let us get."

He laughed softly, making an effort to meet him at the bottom. He shrugs, they could only know if they tried, so he signaled for them to move along.

Eridan held out his arm for Dave to take again if he wished.

He swam along the bottom, more so to keep his distance from the dolphins so that they wouldn't spook or appear threatening to them. Several did swim closer, looking at them both and swimming in front of them to check them both over. Eridan settled down on the sandy bottom, pulling Dave with him as he watched.

He held onto his arm again, knowing it was the only way for him not to turn into an underwater balloon.

He watched the dolphins with a slight smile, crossing his legs as he sat down, still using him as an anchor.

A dolphin got closer than the others after a while, and clicked a little, finally looking more comfortable

Eridan never really got the hang of dolphin-speak. It was even more confusing and melodical then sea-kin speak and he was naturally fluent in that. He grinned and turned to Dave anyway, "they say you've got a flat ass."

He elbows him a little with a smile, the dolphin telling his friends something, and then brushing against Eridan's arm as he swam by.

Eridan held still as it came by, turning his head to watch it go with a small smile on his face. "Dolphin speak is rather odd. It's not... Logical? It's just emotions really, thoughts that they echo at each other. Thoughts an' emotions an' gossip, that's dolphins for you. I'm not quite sure what they are saying."

One had come near Dave, nodding its head in that weird dolphin way and making clicky noises at him.

He nods, thinking about how that would sound if he could understand it, but soon he was looking at the other dolphin, smiling at him, and watching as he nudged his shoulder playfully. He doesn't know if it is appropriate to pet them or anything, so he keeps his hands to himself, and blows some bubbles to amuse him.

Eridan shifted a bit, settling them both more comfortably on the sand as he watched the dolphins. The rest of the pod was close now, merely swimming leisurely along and surfacing for air occasionally. He turned to watch the one by Dave, smiling a bit at him blowing bubbles at it. "Do you want to see if they'll let us swim with them? We won't go far, only a few meters or so along the bottom."

Dave smiles at Eridan, nodding, wondering however they'd manage that. The dolphin clicks again, getting a response this time, and it looked like it was a good one too.

Eridan kept his movements slow, careful as he pulled Dave up and started swimming. He gained speed quick enough, keeping Dave close to reduce drag as they sped along the bottom. A few dolphins joined them, and Eridan moved closer up to the surface, looping around a bit to bring them in a wide arc back to where the pod was.

A couple of dolphins followed along, more clicking sounds being heard, Dave not managing to help his wide smile. They seemed a little confused as to why they were swimming together, as they clearly werent just one big lump of meat with two heads, but two beings, though it didn't seem to bother them.

Eridan slowed a bit when he reapproached the pod, more at a comfortable speed as a few dolphins passed them to rejoin the pod. He ended up settling them both on the sand again, smiling as a few dolphins came down to look at them again. They were rather elegant creatures, especially in water. He'd love to race one, but he had a feeling this lot wouldn't really be up to it.

He smiles as he looks around, relaxed. He was enjoying himself quite a bit. Dave found himself reaching for the camera, but didnt grab anything because it wasnt there. Shoot.

He glanced at him when he felt him shifting around, raising an eyebrow a bit. He noticed his lack of camera and raised both brows now. "Do you want me to go grab your camera? You can bond with these squeaky things while I nip up an' grab it."

He shook his head, shrugging. The opportunity to take pictures would be good, but he relished the experience more than the memory. Dave blew some bubbles on Eridan this time, smirking.

He shoved him down against the sand in retaliation, promptly sitting on top of him to stop him going anyway. Underwater, Eridan didn't weigh as much as he looked like he would, so he could comfortably sit on Dave without the thought of the possibility of crushing his air flow.
