"You didn't know, no reason to be sorry." He waved him off, collecting their meals and heading to the door with Dave. "An' wow. Meridan. That's pretty shitty Dave. I'm not a mer person. I don't have a tail. Just fins an' gills, nothing spectacular."
2015-07-06 02:27:06 -
●
He walks beside Eridan, smiling at his own shitty pun. "How can you say 'nothing spectacular' right after you say you have fins and gills. Plus you can swim fast as fuck by what you've said. I don't know man, just saying. But if you don't like it, angry sushi boy is also an option." He teases.
2015-07-06 02:29:06 -

"Because there are more spectacular things than fins, gills an' swimming fast." He rolled his eyes like it was obvious, handing him one of the bags as they waited to cross the road. "Do you wanna sit here an' eat for a bit or would you rather I drop you home now?"
2015-07-06 02:49:39 -
●
He grabs the bag, muttering a small 'thanks' under his breath. "We could just chill and eat, I don't feel like going home now." Dave shrugs. "Unless you want to go home to study or something, then that's also chill."

"I'm not planning on doing any more studying for these exams. I know what I need to, an' if I forget, oh well." He shrugged and gestured for Dave to follow him to the sand and sat down, pulling the styrofoam box out of the bag and opening it.
2015-07-06 03:20:48 -
●
He took a seat next to him, doing the same to his own box, and placing it on his lap. Fish and chips was the best. He doesn't know when he ate it last, but he definitely should eat it more often. Plus, even after eating a whole burrito, he was still kinda hungry, as he had nothing to drink. "That's nice to know. I don't trust myself doing an exam without last minute revisions. Not literally though, that's useless, just, a day before." He grabbed a chip, popping it into his mouth, and then opened his soda. "Want some?"
2015-07-06 03:24:02 -
🌀
Eridan was watching the water as he ate. Fingers slowly getting greasy from the salt on the chips and the battered fish.
"Everyone studies in different ways. I know when it's a lost cause to study, an' in this case it is. I don't need anymore useless information that I'm bound to find if I study."
"No thanks." He smiled slightly, glancing at Dave.
2015-07-06 03:59:38 -
●
"Really, do you? Because that's not what it looked like an hour or so before your exam yesterday when you had your notes all over the table." He smirks a little, glancing into the bag to check if they sent napkins, which they did, before eating some of the fish.
2015-07-06 04:01:38 -
🌀
His fins and cheeks flushed a light violet and he glared at the waves. "I didn't see that as a lost cause. That was a hard exam an' I wanted more information to help boost my mark. Turns out it was a waste of time anyway." He ripped he fish in half, biting off of it as he stared resolutely at the waves.
2015-07-06 04:09:28 -
●
He smiled as he glanced at him, noticing the colour in his cheeks. "Sure Eridan, sure." He says in a teasing tone, before glancing over at the sea as well. "Well at least you're not as stressed out now. Let's hope you don't change your mind half way through the night, because tomorrow morning I'll notice and you know it." He sucked on his index finger for a second, that was getting a little too greasy.
2015-07-06 04:12:37 -
🌀
He just huffed, turning a bit to glance at Dave with a small scowl. "Shut up Dave. I know what I'm doing. Sort of." His fins flared slightly and he bit into the fish again. "You don't know me that well. Maybe I'll hide my panicked stressedness from you an' you would not have a clue."
2015-07-06 04:26:05 -
●
"You can't do that, you're too transparent." He smirks. "Plus you have two little things right in the sides of your face that are kind of a dead give away of your emotions. And if you were panicking you'd probably have your notes spread on the table again, you wouldn't hold back from doing that."
2015-07-06 04:28:03 -
🌀
Eridan stilled, mouth pausing in his chewing briefly before he continued. "Huh." He wiped his fingers on a napkin. "Is that so."
Eridan picked at his chips, choosing the crunchiest ones first and popping them in his mouth. His fins had stopped wiggling, and he'd schooled his expression to perfectly blank as he looked at the ocean.
"Tomorrow, if you can tell what I'm feeling by my so called transparentness an' signal flags on either side a my head, then I'll sleep for eight hours for a week."
2015-07-06 04:45:25 -
●
The moment he heard him pause and his tone changed, he knew he had fucked up, but that didn't stop him from being stupid and agreeing to do so. "You mean like, eight hours a day? Are you that confident?"
2015-07-06 04:47:17 -
🌀
"Like I said. You don't know me that well. If you can't figure out any one of my moods by the time I leave for my exam, then... I'll figure something out. Of what I want from you. I might leave you on the boat to scrub the barnacles off the bottom or something."
His tone was cool and almost distant as he ate watching the ocean.
2015-07-06 04:51:09 -
●
He smiled a little, still trusting that he was joking even though his tone didn't really give any hints that he was. "Alright, that's alright by me. Just, it would be nice if you didn't do the thing where you turn into an emotionless pit for now, because im too familiar with it, and id rather you didn't turn into Bro number two"
2015-07-06 04:52:37 -
🌀
"Emotionless pit? No idea what you're talking about Dave." He blinked and his fins twitched once, face relaxing as he finished off the rest of his chips. He looked at him with an eyebrow raised, "do yourself a favour an' don't call me transparent. Thanks." His voice was slightly sarcastic with his thanks as he shook the leftover salt into his hand and licked it up.
2015-07-06 05:25:07 -

"Alright, got it, you wont be hearing it again." He shrugs, drinking some of his beverage. "Want the rest of my fish? I don't think i'll eat much more." He had eaten little more than half of it, and just a couple of chips were left behind.
2015-07-06 05:28:45 -
🌀
He glanced at Dave's leftover fish and shook his head. "No I'm fine thanks. I would, however, like to go before the rains come an' I get a cold again." He pointed out over the water, where the sky had turned grey and misty looking.
2015-07-06 05:34:37 -
●
He looked up blinking a little. He looked back at the fish, and ate one last chunk, before wiping his fingers to the napkins and standing up. "Better hurry if thats the case, i dont think you have much time left."
2015-07-06 05:36:27 -

"Ten, fifteen minutes. Enough time to get to the car at least." He stood up, hand out for Dave's rubbish before quickly walking to the nearby bin. He hurried back to Dave, glancing over the water again. "C'mon. Warmth an' not wetness are that way." He smiled slightly and set off at a brisk pace, weaving around other people on the path.

Handing him the bag, he glanced over at him, and then one last time at the sea. By the time Eridan was back, he was pretty done admiring the ocean, and just followed him, pretty eager for the promise of warmth. "Let me guess, you drive a car that matches the boat's quality. Surprise me." He smiled slightly, as he struggle to walk just slightly behind him

"What, an older model an' in good nick? Not really." Eridan led the way into the marina car park, pulling his keys out of his pocket and walking past the rows of cats to the back. The land rover, despite his 'not really' was a but of an older model, but it worked perfectly fine and fit everything Eridan needed it to when he decided to get away for a while. Whether it be just for a little camping trip to the beach or carrying all his junk to and from places.

He looks the car over, not being much of a car fan, but recognizing it looked pretty neat. He liked land rovers, or rather, jeeps, to be precise. There always was a sense of respect that he got from those cars, and he disnt know why. Maybe because of the big ass wheels though. Waiting for him to unlock the car, he then climbs in the passenger's seat, buckling his seat belt and closing the door. It was a little hard to do it, since that particular seatbelt clearly had little use.

The heat blasted on as soon as Eridan turned the key. He scowled and turned it off, opening the window on his side. He looked as Dave finally clicked the seatbelt in, shrugging a bit. "Yeah that ones always been an annoyance. You good now?" He strapped himself in, checking in his mirrors first before smoothly pulling out of the car park. "So. You considered ditching the rest of the week to nick out early onto the open seas?" He glanced at Dave, grinning a bit. "Or have you decided that you prefer the theory of finding and poking dead things with a stick rather than the practical."
