She looked faintly disturbed. "What the hell is wrong with him. Dave that's seriously wrong. Like borderline needs to go see a specialist or someone who can help him fix his brain wrong." She frowned at him, tugging at the loom band again. "Does he have like, no sense of self-preservation? Or self-worth at all? What kind of treatment did he receive from anyone for him to go that far! She'd stepped back a little once he started raising his voice, frowning at him. "So you're telling me that what the fish girl said to me was only to make sure I'd try and keep you away from him? It's a punishment for him killing someone? To make sure he never has any friends ever?" Trolls are so weird. She still didn't like the guy, but she could sort of understand Dave's perspective now.

I'm saying Eridan was a stupid kid that is now working on his flaws, and that they got annoyed at every single thing he did, so hey, he killed someone, Eridan must be doing it for attention! She smiled at him. "It's fine. You were just getting defensive for him. Like that time when I told you your brother's music is shit compared to yours now and you got all huffy and I had to sit through an endlessly long lecture over the ironicness of his work."

She raised both brows at that, tilting her head slightly. "He's listened to your music? Have you shown him originals or a bit of everything you make?"

"A little." He admits, still happy. "Fish boy saves fish fish. More at 7. He doesn't really breed them per se. I think he just happened to have a pregnant seahorse. The newborns all went to marine parks and such. He also has a... I think he said it was a grouch, and a few other fish. They are colourful, that's all I know about fish."

"I've shown him everything, but he likes the originals better. Well, I had to lower the bass for him, because he has sensitive fins, but that happened. Why do you look so surprised?"

She shook her head at him, rolling her eyes. "So it's a fish boy with a bunch of fish who also saves fish on occasion. And had a pregnant seahorse that he gave the babies away to marine parks?" It sounded a bit far-fetched, especially given her opinion on him.

"Because up until less than a minute ago I assumed him to be a whiny murderous bastard of a troll with no good taste and a clingyness that would scare away barnacles." She shook her head slightly, still a bit surprised. "It's weird, you make him sound like he's normal."

Oh and when we were at the island he talked to some fish and seahorses, and I got amazing shots with them, let alone the whales. Jade. There were whales." Did you see dolphins too or just whales? Were there reefs that you swam through?" She was getting excited over the prospect of photos of actual whales seen by her friend. And not on a whale watching boat either. "Tell me details!"

Dave grinned, laughing a bit. "Sorry, sorry, its just that the relationship stuff started soon after, and I got a bit distracted."

He unlocks his phone, going to the blog he posted some photos on, and handing over the phone. There were a lot of pictures there, including the ones of Eridan and Dave with fish in their hair, but on those you could only see the hair.

"We swam with dolphins, it was fucking great, and I should have at least a good seventy photos. And /Jade/ the sky was glorious, just- and the cave! Specially the waterfall, dude just look at them."

"Oh my god Dave is that your hair? With the fish in it? Ooh the seahorses are adorable! Are they around you fingers?" She got to the ones of the whale, mouth open a little as she stared in awe. "Wow. Just wow. You lucky bastard!"

"Wait what? What cave? Did you go through a cave system? Did it glow? And how high was the waterfall?"

"They thought my hair was kelp. And one fish also did. They were really damn cute, and they looked like they already knew Eridan." He grins, laughing a bit. "The whales are great aren't they? Those are my favourite pictures. How could I have said no to the trip after he told me about those photography chances, like c'mon, you would have accepted it too."

"They certainly did glow, I think there are a few photos in there of the caverns. And I don't know how high it was, I just know we jumped down, and it was amazing. Also I will again stress the sky. The /sky/ Jade, those pictures are like, in the last 5 or so."

She laughed, leaning over to mess up his hair. "Some kelp that is!" She kept on going through the photos, looking at each one closer before swiping ot the next.

She nearly dropped the phone when he said they jumped off. "You did what?! Dave! You jumped off a waterfall? Into what? Was there a deep pool of water underneath? Why the hell did you jump? Did he get you to?" She got to the pictures of the sky and had to admit they were pretty good. "Okay yeah. Those are really clear."

"The pool was really deep, actually. He said he had jumped before, and it was the only way to the cave besides just climbing down the rocks with a camera in hand and bare feet, so we jumped. It was great."
