"I wasn't suffocating you. The blanket isn't designed to suffocate people with." He huffed loudly, using his grip to simply pull down with him and shove him into the blankets, flopping over the top of him with a groan and closing his eyes. "I was hiding from the sun." He curled up a bit, intent with keeping Dave there as punishment for making him unintentionally fall. "My horn hurts now."

Dave gasped when he was tugged down, hands in front of him to break his fall, but he quickly found himself having a lap full of Eridan.

He didnt struggle, he actually wrapped his arms around him again with a soft laugh. "Your hiding from the sun made me feel suffocated. The air was too warm. And sorry about that, I can always kiss it better." He suggested in his post waking up teasing manner

"You'd just fuck it up more." He scowled sleepily, already shoving and moving until he was comfortably burrowed back into blankets and against Dave. "Now don't move. You have to redeem yourself as a cuddler." He was smiling a bit by now though, lifting his head to blink sleepily up at him.

He smiled a bit as he said that, turning his head to look at him, only one arm wrapped around him now, but he quickly stopped.

Oh no he's cute.

A slight blush crept at his cheeks, and he tried to disguise it with a smile, unsure of how that would work, but it was the first thing that came to mind. It was dark too, he wouldnt notice. "Aye aye, gotta restore my honour."

Eridan shifted a bit, tucking a blanket closer around them both for warmth and another at his back because it was comfortable, letting his head drop to rest against Dave's chest again without hesitation. He'll deal with embarrassing realisations of what he's doing after he's properly napped. Dave was comfortable to sleep against anyway.

He bit his lip lightly, clearly more awake than Eridan, as he realized what the hell was going on. He was cuddling Eridan half naked and awake.

He wasnt complaining though.

His free hand was moved to his hair, and he lazily petted it, knowing he probably wouldnt fall back asleep now, but willing to just watch

The hair petting had him almost purring, or at least the closest he could manage with his repressed vocal range. He squirmed a bit, turning his head to the side a bit and relaxing properly, eyes closed. "Shove me off when you wanna do something aside from lie here. Just not on the floor this time 'kay?" Even his voice sounded drowsy.

If he had fins himself, they would probably be trying to make him fly with how quick they'd be wiggling

His own fins were merely twitching a bit, fluttering slightly before stilling. He was soon dozing against him, lulled by the warmth and Dave's petting. He gradually got more and more relaxed until he was back at the almost boneless state he was earlier.

He relaxed as he watched Eridan, hoping he could go back to sleep, but not expecting to. He ends up petting his hair for a long while, smiling to himself.

He yawned roughly an hour and a bit later, curling up on himself and pulling a blanket over his head. His cheek was still pressed against his chest, and he simply swatted his hand away from his hair. He was more awake now, and complletely conscious of the fact that he willingly cuddled up to him to sleep again. Which made his cheeks heat up in a blush and his fins to twitch and wiggle slightly.

Dave rose a brow, but tugged his hand away either way. As he was settling it on his stomach, he felt a bit of warmth on his chest, and then he just knew he was awake.

He had a long time to get over himself while they were there, but he still found it cute

Eridan just grumbled at him and burrowed further under the blankets. "Wass'time. An' don't say late." He wasn't too uncomfortable with the fact that he'd been cuddling up to Daw, he was embarrassed at the fact that Dave wasn't comfortable with him cuddling him and/or would probably tease him about him.

He grumbled and stretched, feeling his joints pop. His jaw clicked as he yawned, almost unhinging completely as he did so. "You've been redeemed as a cuddler. You're prettt mediocre at best though."

He was torn between teasing him or letting him be, because he'd really like him to have the trust in him to do this more often, so he decided to not be an ass.

Eridan eyes him almost warily, waiting for some sort of teasing comment.

He kept eying him warily even as he sat up properly, blankets pooled around his waist. He yawned again, rubbing a hand over his face. "Do you want food?" He was slightly hungry, but not really enough to eat a lot. "Did you still want photos of seahorses? You might wanna get them today before we leave." His hand was throbbing, and he flinched as he tried to use it to push himself up off the bed.

The way he had the blankets around his waist nearly made it seem like he was naked from the waist down, which Dave found to be a little amusing. "I'm up for grub, yeah. And can we get them in the morning?"

As he flinched though, he nearly reached to catch him in case he fell. He pressed his lips together. "Hurts still, huh."

"Actual grub or food? Because I don't carry around dried grub cubes Dave." He teased, glancing back t him briefly. He used his other hand to push himself up. "It hurts a bit." He wasn't going to let on how much it hurt, not really wanting to incase he'd get it in his head to not go anywhere. "I'm fine. An' yeah we can go after food if you want."

"We just need to find something to keep the bandages dry I suppose." Dave wasnt fully dumb, he knew it should be hurting more than he was letting on, but as long as he wasnt bleeding his guts out he supposed he would be fine.

"I can just take the bandages off for when we swim around. An' then put it back on later when we get back." He shrugged and turned to face him properly, raising an eyebrow. "So food then swim?" He was refraining from massaging the palm of his sore hand, really not wanting to show that it hurt. He'll probably take something for the pain later.
