Sollux is showing up, but not until noon at least, because he's lazy.

Meanwhile, the kitten has finished her food, and she thinks its her duty to fill the house with her dirty paw prints, so she starts heading for the living room.

Eridan scoops her up as soon as he realises what her intention is, and carts her off to the bathroom with an 'oh no you don't'. He fills up the sink with moderately warm water, and plops the little kitten in so he can rinse off all the food stuck to her fur.

She mewls pleadingly when she's put in the water, trying to get out, but to no avail. She sticks with mewling loudly and pitifully while she's washed, staring at him with those huge eyes

Eridan just hushes her, and when she's clean he wraps her up in a towel and gently rubs her dry. Once she's dry he holds her close to his chest and goes to find a scarf to wrap around his neck and bundle her close in.

She seems happy to be inside one of the little pockets the scarf created, not wanting to go back inside the water, so she hid there.

Eridan moved to sit on the couch again after he'd made himself a cup of tea. He picked up his laptop from the table, and just settled himself into browsing online crap and watching youtube videos on low volume until Dave got up.

Dave woke up at around 8, and stumbled his way to the kitchen, looking for Eridan. He hugged him when he saw him, and whined about waking up with no kitty or Eridan

Eridan grinned a little up at him, kissing his cheek and ruffling Dave's hair. "I didn't want to wake you. You look like you needed sleep."

Dave leans into the kiss, hugging him tighter. "I don't like waking up without you. Feels lonely."

"You always cuddle up to a pillow no problem." He moved his laptop off his lap, and kept a hand over the kitten as he stood up to hug Dave properly.

He nuzzles Eridan's chest, just finding excuses to be clingy, really. "Doesn't compare to waking up with you."

His voice was fond as he looped an arm around his waist and nuzzled his hair. "I'm sure you'll survive. It's not like I'm particularly comfortable to sleep on. I'm freezin' compared to you. You're the comfortable one."

"No I won't, shit's already killing me on the inside." He lets himself relax against Eridan, and he hears a little mewl as the kitten steps onto his head. "Is there a cat in my head?" He asks in a flat tone.

Eridan just kissed his head, though Eona bumped him out of the way so she can try and stand on Dave's head. "... Er, yes? I wouldn't move, darlin', come off." He lifts her up and tucks her back into the scarf.

Eona mewls in protest, coming back out of the scarf, and this time slowly making her way down Dave's back. Dave leaned forward a so that she could take her time going down, and then he crouched so that she could hop off and scramble away to explore.

Eridan rolled his eyes as she went off, but decided to leave her, because there wasn't anything she was capable of chewing or escaping through. He hugged Dave closer now, resting his chin on his head.

Dave snickered, just nuzzling his chest. "Mine." He mumbled, squeezing him a little into the hug. "How long have you been up for?"

"So protective." He murmured into his hair, grinning. "How are you goin' t' deal with Sollux if you can't even share with a tiny kitten?" He laughed, kissing his forehead. "You'll always be my first choice though, Dave."

"Um, a while. I don't know what time it was when I got up."

"I'll push his scrawny ass to the side when I want attention, that's how. I wouldn't do that to a kitten though." He hums in content at all the affection he's getting. "I love you. You should really sleep more though."
