He noticed how often Sollux looked away from them now, and wondered if it was jelousy or if he just felt awkward. Probably the second one. "I'm going to record you hiccuping for the whole day if you're stupid enough to do that again."

Eridan gently nudged Dave off his lap to be sitting next to him as he set the course for the islands and double checked it, before turning the autopilot on. He sat back, arm around Dave's shoulders as he tipped his head back and looked up towards the clear sky.

Sollux scowled at him, flicking him on the nose and leaning back in his seat. "I'm thure you will. Make thure to get my good thide, tho that I may rethide over your thcreen for all eternity and my thtupid ath hiccuping will forever be prethent in your mind. Athhole."

Dave ruffled Sollux's hair, smirking. "Someone's a bit of a sore loser huh." He teased, and flicked his ear in return. "C'mere and just chill."

With that, he tugged on Sollux until he was leaning against Dave, and draped an arm around his shoulders to keep him there. "Either way, you don't have any good sides, so you'll have to deal with whatever footage I get."

Sollux flushed a little when he was pulled over, and elbowed Dave in the ribs with a lot of grumbling and muttering about stupid humans. Eridan tried not to roll his eyes, and failed.

He moved to stand, stretching his arms above his head and sighing. The land behind them was slowly, and steadily going fainter and further away. He felt the urge to go swimming again, like right now, but was only reminded of the first time he went out with Dave on Sabriel and left him to be bored. But he had Sollux now right?

Dave just smirked, staying like that with Sollux, and looked up at Eridan when he got up. "You want to swim?" Dave guessed. "You can go if you want, its your time to shine or something like that. I'll keep nagging this guy."

He pats Sollux's shoulder for emphasis, and squeezes him a bit.

"You sure?" His fins perked up though, and he fiddled with the bottom of his shirt. He was already wearing his streamline-tight swim shorts, because he just knew that he'll be swimming as soon as he gets to the island so why bother with the extra wait for changing?

"I won't be long. Just have a cruise around, check the underside, see if there's any wild life. I trust you to keep the boat on autopilot and make sure it's all good. And you better not touch anything." He pointed a finger at Sollux. Who just scowled and rolled his eyes, though he was a little interested in seeing Eridan without a shirt on again.

Eridan whipped off his shirt, placing his glasses to the side as well and pulling him up to stand on the side of the boat. There was a nice breeze blowing, and he took a second to just breathe it in before diving smoothly over the side into the water.

Sollux hurried to shut his mouth before Dave noticed. Those tattoos... and he was still nice and lean and muscular. Fuck why'd he give up the black again?

Oh yeah. He killed a guy. Right.

Dave smiled, and just shrugged. "Take your time, I'll find ways to entertain myself. And I'll keep him from being a dick." That being said, he watches him take off his shirt as well, and feels a bit of pride that Eridan is his boyfriend. He always does, but now he can make nearly anyone jelous of that.

He looks back at Sollux once Eridan jumped off board. "Remember our deal? You be good, and I get a golden nose ring." He reminds Sollux, before just moving to have his head on the other's lap.

"You should have taken him black." He muttered, staring down at Dave in surprise at his actions. "And you need to learn how to act like a black. You're putting way too much trutht in me at the moment Thtrider." He shook his head a little, but leant back.

This was fine. He could allow a little bit of not-a-lot-of-black right now. Besides, wasn't his earlier thoughts that he would try and get Dave to be his black, and then get him to feel red for him so that he'd drop Eridan? But now... He could see how much Dave meant to Eridan, and vice versa.

He sighed, resting his head back so that he wouldn't have to look at Dave's dumb attractive face. He looked out over the water, and saw a dart of grey sliding sleekly below the surface.

Sollux poked him in the stomach, hard. His cheeks were yellow. "It'th not my fault. He'th tho fucking infuriating yet he'd get thith dumb exprethion on hith fathe whenever I didn't try and forthe him to do thomething he didn't want to do. It wath hard not to flip on the fucker. But it jutht made me hate him more, tho I wathn't futhed."

Sollux scowled at him, tucking his knees to his chest and looking out over the water. Fins heal the quickest, and it's not like he shredded it or anything. From his understanding, Vriska did way worse to him that he did.

Eridan decided to come back up then, hauling himself up to eye level with them on the back of the boat but not yet climbing over. "Dave do you think it'd freak people out if I adopted a shark and just kept it in my room?" He glanced down at the water, where a young whale shark was following them. Or rather it was following Eridan. "Only this one's really adorable and timid as fuck and I wanna keep it. Lookit, it's adorable."

Sollux looked over the edge and blanched, staring at the shark. "What the fuck Eridan."

Dave smiles instantly when Eridan asks him that, and e he laughs softly. "I think sharks are better off in the ocean. Look at those big guys, any shark wouldnt be happy in a tank." He goes over to the side to check out the shark. "He is kinda cute though." Being small and all.

"This one's run into some sort'a fishing line or something." He ran his hand gently over the spotted body. "Plus it likes me."

He watches the shark with a smile. "Well, I can't say no to that then. It's pretty fucking reasonable-sounding to me." The shark was hurt and Eridan was going to help him get better, nothing wrong with it. Keeping it forever? Something very wrong with it. Helping? Nothing wrong. See the difference? Dave does.
