"You don't even know what I pay them, you can't say that." He lightly swatted at the back of his head, and stood up, gathering the kitten close. "Now, I guess. I don't really have a reason to be here aside from maybe going to sleep, but also fuck sleep so no. Let's go."

Eridan made sure he had his wallet and his keys before bundling the kitten close again and locking the door behind them. He headed down to his car, and waited until Sollux was in his before starting to drive towards his aquarium. It was about an hour's drive, but he didn't mind.

Eridan rolled his eyes, and he was soon pulling in to the parking space. Two cars were also parked there, and he gestured for Sollux to hold the kitten close as he led the way inside. "Remember that little whale shark? He's here, and really really likes swimming with people. You wanna get in?"

"Sol, the shark is barely a meter and a half long, and whale sharks don't eat humans. They don't even eat fish most of the time. They eat plankton. Y'know, same thing as whales? You can swim with him, and besides, I'm here to look after the kitten."

He narrows his eyes, but then sighs. He doesn't swim well, and doesn't want people mocking him, but nods his head. "Whatever."

"C'mon Sol. The humans are in their weird lab thing and the seadweller isn't here today. It's her day off. The only one to even potentially laugh at you is me, and maybe Dave when he rocks up but I'm sure he'll be too invested in the kitten."

He seems to be more interested when he says that, and he slowly nods, more conviced than before. "Yeah, ok. Where is it?"

"The water is only knee deep as well, so really, you're not even swimming with him. It's more you're just sitting on the edge while a whale shark swims around your feet. You'd have to go out into the deeper pools for that, and I prefer that to only be me and the other seadweller." He led the way through a few halls that had tanks on either side with different fish. Mostly reef fish, and some seahorses followed to the end of their tanks before going back to what they were doing. Eridan led Sollux into an outdoor area that was full of glass dividers between tanks and led out into the bay. He led him over to one of the corner ones, briefly stopping to pet some sharks, dolphins and even a little turtle as he passed.

"Uh, I don't have any swimming trunks, I'm gonna get my jeans wet if I get in the water." He argues, but follows him. "I could be in my boxers I guess."

"I'm sure there's a spare pair somewhere. I'm sure there's something that'll fit you." He gestured to the lockers over by the door. "Check there. And if not, just stick with your boxers then."

He nods, going over there to check, and he finds a pair of black swimming trunks. They're a bit too short, but he still takes off his pants to put them on, shoving the pants in the locker to go back to Eridan.

Eridan had climbed up onto the walkway between two tanks, and gestured for Sollux to come up. "Okay, so at most the water's about thigh high, so if you want to walk around with him, go ahead. Just no quick movements, and no psionics."
