He nudged him playfully, a smile on his face as he spoke. "You can always turn on the AC and walk around in boxers. I'm down to come back home to that." He teased back, kissing his cheek before he stopped to think. "Oh, also." He went over to the kitchen, searching through a bowl with tons of stuff inside, from key chains to loose change, and fished out a small set of keys, the key chain being a seahorse. "Here, I made you some spare keys."

He took it, looking surprised. "Is this an invitation for me to let myself in whenever and annoy you?" He was smiling though, and kissed him on the forehead. "Thanks Dave." He kissed him again, properly this time.

"Of course it is. Plus if I get injured somehow, i want my private nurse to open the door himself." He said playfully, smiling as he pulled him into a hug, returning the kiss. "No need to thank me. I love you."

"I'm nowhere near qualified enough to be a nurse. I just know how to patch myself up, and even then I fuck it up sometimes." He laughed softly, hugging him back.

"Neither am I, we seem to have that in common. Now let me shower, I feel dead." He nuzzled his cheek before he pulled away, starting to walk to the bathroom. "Hope you liked the keychain."

"It's the best keychain." He smiled as he looked down at the key, before going to grab his own set of keys from where he left them on the counter and attach the seahorse to it.

Dave smiled to himself, looking back at Eridan over his shoulder before he finally went to shower. He took a while, enjoying the hot water on his skin, and got out maybe 15 minutes later, hair already dry, along with most of his body. He whistled to himself as he went to get dressed, not in a hurry at all.

Eridan had flopped himself on the couch, deciding he'll just go get a change of clothes and his laptop once Dave had headed off. He wasn't really asleep, but he was more dozing because his earlier sleep had been interrupted by someone's phone.

Once he was ready to leave, he went over to him to get a couple more kisses. "I'll see you at around 4 if no one needs me around." He said, combing a hand through Eridan's hair, and finally leaving. He hoped Sollux didn't think of communicating with him today.

Eridan nodded, smiling a little at him and kissing him back. "I'll still be here, and I'll send any asshole running if they come looking for you now." He grinned, obviously teasing. He headed out after Dave, remembering to lock the door before going to his car and driving home.

As soon as Dave got to work, he got a warning that he was about to get the biggest rant of his life from the manager. He didn't quite believe it at first, but when he arrived, boy oh boy. He was scolded for skipping so many days, and was told how much better he was before, and was also asked what happened to make his perfect attendance into this mess. He had to reply to the questions briefly, not really wanting to go into the topic, and just said he got in a fight by accident and forgot to call in to say he couldn't go. After that, he got a stern glare, and was told that he couldn't skip any other days until Summer, or he was fired. Damn.

Eridan was quick to shower and change once he got home, and then he got his laptop and a change of clothes. Before leaving though, he did a bit of research on some phones for Dave, and found one that was similar to his old one, but better. He grabbed a sketchpad so that he could draw up the cover design later, and headed out to the nearest store that had that phone available.

After he was done with work, he headed for afternoon classes, glad to finally have a break, and sketched through his class, barely listening to what was being said. He then wondered if he could sneak in a little boxing practice with someone, maybe Rose. His friends weren't into box a lot, but it was great for chatting and for just having a partner to practice with.

Eridan ended up getting a pretty good phone, but since Dave had his phone on him already he couldnt' transfer data over and make it a nice surprise. It's probably better to let Dave do that anyway, he decided. Eridan set about making a design then, which consisted of a record and a bunch of cogs. He tried a few different colour schemes, but ended up settling for a red yellow orange one. He took a photo and emailed the company that did custom made covers and asked if it were possible to make it to fit the new phone he got.

Dave ended up texting Eridan, saying he'd be going to the gym for a while with Rose, and would probably only be back by 6. He had a spare pair of shorts and a t-shirt in his locker there, so he wouldn't have to go back home for it.

Eridan ended up texting back when he saw it, and asked Dave if he could go get hot chips on the way home. He texted him the name of the chippy in the middle of town that did the best hot chips. Because while the fish and chip place was excellent, the chips by themselves were a bit lackluster.

He said he'd bring some, and put the phone down for the following couple of hours.

It was pretty stress relieving, to say the least, even though he was the only one breaking a sweat there. Rose wasn't there for the exercise, she was there for the psycho analyse shit she had going on. He ended up dodging most of the questions with harder and harder hits to the training gloves though, so she quickly got the hint. After he was done and had a shower, he came back home, dragging himself through the front door with a bag in his hand. That bag had dinner in it.

Eridan had ended yp getting one of Dave's hoodies and was currently curled up on the couch in it while he browsed the internet. He smiled up at him when Dave walked in, setting his laptop aside to stand up and hug him. "Thanks. I'm feeling the need for hot chips." He kissed him quickly before going to grab some forks for them both. "Had a good gym session?"

He leaned into the hug with a relieved huff, feeling tired. "My bones are like... fucking jelly right now." He mutters, even though he felt good. "Yeah, it was pretty neat, I went with Rose." He said as he moved to the couch, kicking his shoes to the side, along with his pants. Fuck pants.

Eridan grabbed a bottle of apple juice as well for him, carrying the forks and the chips in one hand and the apple juice in the other. He hand the bottle to Dave, and sat down next to him before offering a fork to him as well. "Sounds fun." He said a little dryly, not really being able to imagine Rose as one who went to the gym.

He shrugs. "She doesn't do much exercise, she was just there to pretty much keep me from being bored. I get bored fast if I'm alone at the gym." He thanked him with a kiss to his cheek, taking a couple of gulps from his AJ right away.

Eridan nodded, speared a few chips on the fork, absolutely happy that they were nice and crunchy and not soggy at all. Fuck soggy chips. Those are disgusting. He chewed quickly, shifting a little until he was leaning against Dave comfortable with the chips between them.

He leaned against Eridan as he ate, just relaxing, and by the time he was a few fork fulls in, he was full. Dave never really felt hungry after practice. He just felt sleepy, and his eyelids were getting heavy, but he was trying to fight that. "So, how was your day here?"

"Quiet. Did some work on my stuff, and then just spent most of the day browsing." He kissed Dave's forehead, eating most of the chips himself. It had pretty good seasoning on it as well, so he was happy.
