"Off the boat is more fun anyway. You can jump in." He smiled, kissing Dave's forehead and leading him over to the dinghy so they could drive back to the boat.

"Last day here. And then back to social crap. Well, social for you. I'll just continue doin' what I always do."

Eridan laughed, nudging Dave to get in the dinghy once he'd pushed it out far enough in the water. He hopped in next to him, starting the engine and heading towards Sabriel. "I might steal you away for a night next week. It's my birthday, and I'm planning on drinking a whole heap and playing various games. I do that anyway, but now I've got someone to do it with. If you want to of course."

He nods with a relaxed smile, leaning back on the dinghy. "Sounds good to me. " he was planning on surprising him.

"I'll also probably bug you for a coffee, and maybe a brownie or some form of cake in the morning." He smiled at him, tying the dinghy up next to Sabriel and diving down into the water. He came up again, pushing his hair out of his face and moving to be floating on his back.

He jumped into the water, and floated on his chest, holding his breath

"Don't be ridicules." Eridan splashed him, rolling his eyes with an amused look on his face. "I'm fine with just coffee and a bit of cake. Maybe even two cakes. I don't need to be spoiled or anything, it's just a birthday."

He ducked under the water to float underneath Dave, smiling as he lifted a hand to pap him on the cheek several times.

Eridan gladly moved closer to hug him, but eventually shifted them upright so it was more comfortable. He pecked Dave's cheek, smiling. "Love you."

He ended up shifting Dave a little lower, so his head was on his collarbones. That way he could breathe, and Eridan could hug him all he wanted.

Eridan pressed a few kisses to his temple and hair, running his hand up and down dave's back. He could almost sleep like this, eyes half closed and Dave cuddled up on his chest.

His fins flicked as he heard Dave start humming, and then they flared a little as he recognised the song. Eridan laughed softly, closing his eyes properly and nosing at Dave's hair. "Why do you always hum that song. Cro made us do like, seven attempts at that before he was happy with it." He sounded merely curious, slightly amused.
