"I'll kick you in the shin." He grinned though, reaching over to ruffle his hair. He took his arm anyway, smiling at him.

Dave laughed happily, leaning into his hand, but fixing his hair while they walked there. Dave had the decency of not making Eridan look like a douche when they walked in, and just held his hand as they sat down. It was one of those places where you didnt even get to pick what you ate, the chef just made it and the little plates were regularly coming. That's the good shit.

Eridan squeezed his hand briefly, settling in his seat and watching the sushi train go round. He waited, not choosing anything yet as he just watched each little dish go round.

Dave waited a bit, but picked a plate after a bit, inspecting what he had. Seems like just raw fish. Could be salmon, judging by the colour. He got a pair of chopsticks, and a small cup thing with soy sauce, and just started eating, not sure of what to expect since the best sushi he had was a california roll.

Eridan eventually chose a plate with a selection of bite sized things. There was even a little cracker with roe on it. "It's a nice place here. I think the few humans sitting opposite us think I'm a cannibal." He spoke only loud enough for Dave to hear.

He laughs a little and shakes his head. "Kinda, since you are kind of a fish." He teased light heartedly, and glanced over at Eridan with a smirk.

"Yeah but even normal fish eat other fish." He rolled his eyes and nudging him with his elbow.

"Some fish eat plankton." He shrugs, smirking a bit wider, and humming in delight. "You know, this is not that bad. Raw fish is nice."

"Give me a break, it's my first time eating raw fish." He smiles a little as he shakes his head. "And it's delicious. I want to try more."

He laughed, shaking his head at him a little and eating another cracker with roe. He picked up one if the smaller sushi rolls on the plate with the chopsticks. "If you want, I can make you some sashimi when we go to the island?"

He rose a brow, looking over at Eridan as he ate the second piece on the plate. "You can so that? I mean, I'm down, no doubt there." Dave gets a plate with regular sushi rolls, just appreciating how perfect they look for a bit.

"Well, it's just filleted fish made to look fancy. I can make you the on-the-go version if you really wanted. Proper fish too. I'll go out one early morning and go deep sea for some tuna or so." He took one of the sushi rolls from Dave's plate, popping it into his mouth.

"I just keep getting luckier with my dating decisions every day." Dave nods appreciatively, eating another of the sushi rolls. This all tasted so legit, it was kind of weird, since he grew up eating the cheap stuff.

It was the high quality expensive shit, so it would probably taste a little different.

Eridan nudged him with an elbow, smiling slightly. He continued eating, getting another plate of mixed sushi rolls once he'd finished his own for them to dhare.

Dave ended up ordering tea to go with the sushi as well, so by the time he was done, he was feeling the sleepiest he had in the last three or four months.

Eridan was so close to falling back asleep right now it's ridicules. He doesn't look it though, which is excellent. He smiled at Dave once he was done, getting out his wallet to pay for it all so they can go home and sleep.

Dave stretched once they got up, resisting the urge to rub his eyes like a tired child, just holding Eridan's hand while they payed. He then walked over to the car, and slid into the passenger's seat again, wanting to get home quick so that he could sleep. It was already night time.

Eridan payed quickly, and got in the driver's seat before Dave. He was better at being sleep awake than Dave was, and preferred to drive anyway.

He got them home safely, and even parked properly. He held Dave's hand as they waited for the elevator.

Once back in his apartment he headed to the bathroom to take the make up off his face and clean his teeth, before going to the bedroom and shucking off his clothes. He couldn't be bothered to grab sweats and just hopped under the covers with his boxers on. He held his arms out to Dave, whining low in his throat for him.

Dave snoozed through the whole trip, seeing as he wasn't driving, and only woke up to go upstairs and flop down on the bed. Cuddling close to Eridan, he made himself small, and nuzzled his chest, pretty ready to sleep some more.

He wrapped his arms around Dave, holding him close and tugging the blankets tighter around them. He nuzzled his hair, glasses put on the bedside table as he kisses his forehead. Sleep time is now. Maybe he should've taken one of the sleeping pills that supposedly kept the dreams away. Or maybe he'll be too tired enough to dream.

Dave didn't have enough time to think about that, since he fell asleep in the next two minutes, still fully dressed. He was too lazy to do anything other than flop down and snooze.

Eridan ended up hauling his tired ass off the bed to go take on of the pills. Better safe than sorry right? He was back curled up around Dave in no time, and soon after that flat out asleep.
