He sat forward at this, fins folding back against his head as he finally made an expression other than bored. "You two have no right to control me. I did everything demanded of me, I nearly fucking died that night, but who fucking cares. I over dramatise everything, because that's apparently the defining fault of Ampora. Just like being a little following bitch is the Maryam line an' a prejudiced ass licker is the Vantas line." He sneered, leaning back.

He flat out laughed at that, head tipping back a bit. "Oh be rest assured that wont happen. Quadrants are overrated." Quadrants are also different to human-style boyfriends. Which is what they were.

He flicked his hand at them. "I'm done with both of you. Now even I wonder why I ever considered you to be trustworthy or capable of strong friendship. You'd do anything to keep your own ass safe."

Kanaya merely raised a brow at his attempt of insulting them, and Karkat furrowed his brow, biting his own cheek in order not to say anything stupid. "You have committed murder. You are a dangerous person, and we want Dave as far from danger as we manage. And good, we don't need another quadrant mess involving you. Specially one with a human."

She got up after that, heading for the door. "You've been lovely as always."

"I acted in self defence. What about the murder you've done Vantas? Or is that just glossed over because you're Peixes precious little mutant? What about Gamzee, or even fuckin' Vriska."

"You've been a treasure as usual." He shut the door behind them, locking it. He let his head thunk against the cool wood, closing his eyes tightly as he made himself breathe slower, and more calmly.

He didn't get an answer to his last comment, the both of them already being out the door, and calling Dave so that they could talk.

He ended up sitting with his back against the door, eyes closed and hands pressed against his face. His glasses were to the side, and he was rubbing at his forehead in a frustrated motion.

When he finally did stand back up he left his phone on a tea towel in the kitchen so that he wouldn't hear the vibrations from any messages, and kept his laptop shut as he went and took a long shower and curled up in his bed.

They ended up going over to John's house to ask Dave the same questions they asked Eridan. He tells them he doesnt know what made Sollux angry either. If they aren't speaking, he sure as hell isn't, and tells them he just needed a break when it came to work today. They leave after warning him again about how dangerous Eridan is, and Dave spends the next few hours in a sour mood, wondering what else they asked Eridan when they were there. He ends up sleeping at John's house, having to buy painkillers in the morning, but he survives the short painful walk.

He wanted to message Dave and ask if they'd harassed him or anything and if his side was okay, but he didn't want to move from his curled-in-a-ball position on his bed. Plus asking would mean that he'd be asked stuff back and he really didn't feel like talking at all.

He ended up falling asleep at some point, but was awake early again the next morning.

Dave had sent him a text the night before, though ignoring the Karkat and Kanaya topic, just asking him if he was alright.

He had to swing by his place that morning to properly take care of his wound, so now he was on the couch, watching morning cartoons.

he ended up doing something semi-productive by the time nine o'clock rolled around. He'd made himself take a shower again, and even had a piece of toast as he looked at Dave's message. He didn't really want to answer still, but knew that he had to eventually.

He got his laptop instead, deciding to message him back that way.
