He spent that time in silence too, warning John that he's going over. He gives him instructions to go to John's place, and he ends up going past Eridan's house to get there.

He glances up at his apartment as he drives past, but he's looking back at the road again quick enough. He pulled up outside John's place, looking at Dave with a small smile once he'd parked the car.

He kissed him back, smiling gently. "I'll put up with you any day." He pecked him again quickly before sitting back. "Try not to put too much strain on that." He gestured to his side, but smiled a little.

Dave smiled back at him, cupping his cheeks to get one last kiss. "I won't, don't worry. I love you." After stroking his cheeks for a little bit, he gets out, and waves until he's in the apartment.

"I love you too." He smiled, and waited until the door shut before driving. He maybe drove a lot slower than the speed limit because he did not want to speak to either of them.

He parked his car and took the stairs instead of the elevator, dwadling to the extremes.

Dave, on the other hand, made sure to cover the visible bandages with an arm firmly glued to his side. It wasn't the most insuspicious thing, but it seemed to work, and after he got a blanket around himself and started playing videogames with John, there was no more reason to worry

When he finally hauled himself onto his floor he instantly knew he'd annoyed both of them with his tardiness. And that required a tiny smirk before he unlocked his door and sarcastically held it open for them. He settled himself on the couch, making sure he was all perfectly poised and cool Ampora that was so totally not injured. He gestured for them to talk, almost looking bored.

Kanaya was the first to walk through the door, mostly cool and collected while Eridan didnt start to speak. She sat down on the couch opposite to Eridan's, folding her hands on her lap. Karkat closed the door with an annoyed huff, and settled with standing behind the couch Kanaya was sitting on.

"Well. We're here to ask you in what circumstances did you see fit to... repeatedly bash Sollux's head against the wall."

"And why the hell the human was here." Karkat added

He waited for a bit after they'd finished talking, tapping his finger against the arm of the couch. "Well you see I thought it'd be all fun an' games y'know. Knock his head around, see if I can make the light go out. All good nature you know?" He sounded almost bored, watching them absently.

"You should be thankful for the human. But of course, you're taking everything I say with the all the salt in the sea. Tell me, did you ask Sollux what his motives were when he set about seeing how many places he could burn on me an' how many fins he could rip off before I stopped playing the quaint little seadweller?"

"Sollux will only tell us so much, and he refused to tell us the full story, for whatever reason. He was supposed to be here to talk to Dave, not to get in a fight, so we would like to know what sparked a fight between you two that involves him." Kanaya calmly explains "we do not know why the human came here, that's what we're asking."

He rolled his eyes, flexing his hand and adjusting his ring. "Sollux did talk to Dave. He came here after he'd gone to the coffee shop. I don't know what they talked about, because I do not make it my business to stick my nose where it does not belong." He gave a pointed look to both of them before turning his attention back to his rings. "He arrived here, an' quite rudely disrupted my phone call with Dave who was currently informing me that I had one pissed of psionic heading my way. Sollux then proceeded to not only rip through the sail of this fin-" he indicated with a bored tone to his left fin, "-but place several burning handprints where he saw fit an' try an' claw where he could."

Karkat scoffed at the look he gave them, crossing his arms over his chest. "Great, now we have to talk to the human." He grumbled.

Kanaya nodded. "Well we apologize for him." It didn't sound all too sincere, but since Kanaya found out what irony and sarcasm were, nothing really sounded sincere coming from her anymore. Plus as much as she'd like to blame him, Sollux wasn't saying much about the issue at hand, so she had nothing on him. "And we heard you for some reason made Dave check out of work early today? Any particular reason for that?"

Karkat rolled his eyes. "He's a clingy sack of shit, he probably made up some excuse to spend time with him."

He merely raised an eyebrow at him, looking like the complete aristocratic pureblooded seadweller he was.

"No you don't. You're both quietly hoping he's done some serious damage to me. Sorry to disappoint but these won't even leave lasting scars."

He inspected his claws now, looking even more bored as he rested back against the couch and picked at the tip of one claw. "He works far too much an' I found something amusing. He was all too willing to join me. His coworker encouraged him taking the day off."

Kanaya nodded yet again. Of course she'd check with Dave after she left, but she'd take his word for now. "We'd like you not disrupting Dave while he's at work. Surely you understand you can't make the call of whether or not he works too much." She glances at Karkat, and he shrugs, then she looks back at Eridan. "One more thing. You aren't planning on making the human fill one of your quadrants, surely." She didn't sound very amused.
