He just nodded, taking in another shaky breath and wiping his face again. "Sorry for dumping this on you when you're flying out soon." He looked at him, fins low and limp as he just closed the space between them for another hug.

He didn't even hesitate to return the hug, despite feeling a sharp pain on his side when Eridan touched it. He didn't complain. "No no no, no apologizing here. Not in casa de Ampora. It's perfectly fine. That must have been scary."

He'd forgotten about Dave's wound up until now, and only remembered when he felt the telltale texture of a bandage through his shirt. He loosed his grip slightly on that side, shifting his weight a bit so that he was hugging more of his injured side. "Still." He shrugged awkwardly, nudging his jaw slightly.

Dave smiled back at him, sighing in both relief and happiness now. "I'm glad you do, or this relationship wouldn't be fair otherwise. Now c'mon, ill make you nice coffee and we can marathon Harry Potter while we cuddle with gross amounts of affection."

He wasn't feeling completely better, it didn't go just like that, but he wasn't in as much of a slump as he was earlier. He smiled slightly at him, slowly walking after him. He went to the bathroom to wash his face, staring at his reflection for a bit after he had washed away all traces of his tears.

"Did you have anything to do today that you'd be putting aside for me?" He sounded slightly worried over it, as though he didn't want Dave to miss out on anything. Especially since his talk with his rather unwanted guests yesterday.

He wasn't expecting him to be, but he was good enough talk to him again, and he might as well be distracted with something he likes.

He made his way to the kitchen as Eridan went to the bathroom, getting what he needed. He wants to make a latte.

"Sitting on the couch all day and eating like a pig? If you consider that a thing I can put aside."

He toyed with the bottom of his shirt as he stood in the doorway of the kitchen. He caught sight of one of the things Dave bought, and slowly pulled it towards him to take a look at what it actually was.

"Well I dunno. Thought you might've been doing something." He shrugged, opening the packaging.

Eridan was looking at a neat little package with 6 doughnuts in it, which was what was on top, along with a tin of cookies. He really didn't go cheap on it, every doughnut being different from the other.

He decided to make him a surprise with the latte, looking back to see what he was doing. "Nah, you said you wanted me to rest. Just following the doctor's orders."

He looked a bit relieved at that, not really wanting him more injured than he already was.

He picked up one of the doughnuts, one with a clear glaze and sprinkles. "How much stuff did you get me? I would've been fine with just a packet of biscuits or so." He wasn't complaining, just a bit surprised. "What're you making now?"

"Um... let's see..." He started thinking. "Cookies, doughnuts, gummy bears, a few tablets of chocolate, and I think I got the same brand you had, plus a kitkat." He shrugs. Dave couldn't be cheap after Eridan took him out to such a nice diner the other day and took him out sailing. He'd just be a jerk if he was. "Something nice, you can't look." He smiles, turning to do somethig to the finished latte.

He raised an eyebrow at the list of sweet things. "An' how much of that is for you? Did you get it all for me?" He tilted his head slightly, taking a small bite of the doughnut. It was a good quality doughnut, and he ended up with a bit of glaze on his upper lip by the time he'd finished it.

He inched closer to him, half-heartedly trying to lean to get a look.

Dave shrugs again. "About as much as you feel like sharing. I got them for you. But I just ate, so, not too hungry."

He didn't realize Eridan was coming near. He was doing his best to draw a cartoon-y version of Eridan, now just touching up the cute little hearts around him.

He grabbed another doughnut, leaning around him to hold it to his lips as he had a look at the top of the latte. "Is that me?" He sounded amused, almost delighted as he had a look. "I wasn't aware you did latte art Dave." He kissed his cheek, smiling as he looked at the almost chibi version of himself on a latte.

He glanced at the doughnut, then at Eridan with a small smile as he took a bite, the chocolate filling showing. "Didnt I tell you not to peek?" He kisses his cheek. "But yeah. I've been learning, its a good thing to pass the time with. Still a newbie though." Cartoon Eridan looked pretty good, a nice little smile on his face that made him look adorable. "Like it?"

"Excuse my curious nature." He smiled a little, taking a bite of the doughnut himself when he saw the chocolate filling. "It looks good. You even did the horns right." His attempt at a tease wasn't too good compared to his usual standards, but he was trying so that counts.

He grabbed the gummy bears, the rest of the doughnuts and one packet of cookies. He held the packets under his arm, carrying his latte with him as he sat down on the couch again. He put the latte on the coffee table along with the sweets, cuddling up close to Dave before reaching for it again.
