"I love dogs." He smiled. "I've been planning on buying a puppy when I move out. A Labrador. But yeah, they bark a bit. Have you thought of getting a cat?"

"A cat? I own a crap tonne of fish an' sea creatures an' you're telling me to get a cat?" He had actually though about getting a cat before. Because as much as he loved fish and sea creatures and their elegance, there was something nice about having a pet you could actually hold. "I have actually."

"Called it." Dave kissed his cheek. "What type?"

"An' why is that?" He nudged his cheek with his nose, rolling his eyes.

"Um. I dunno. A rescue cat probably. Maybe a black one. Or a tabby. Nepeta, one of the trolls from my old group. Her lusus was a cat like thing. An' I know she has two I think. Two rescue cats. She's one of the ones I contacted about the dog that was in that house with the seahorses?"

He scoffed, but nodding, smiling. "Fair enough." He pressed a kiss to his hair, rolling his eyes at him anyway.

"More dog is always better dog. It's like, great danes an' Irish Wolfhounds. Those are some nice breeds." He nodded, smiling. "I'd just get a rescue animal, even if it were an old one. I'd probably get the one that's been there the longest."

That didn't surprise him. If he was going to rescue fish, he sure as he'll would probably rescue dogs. "The only issue I take with getting an old dog is that they have less time to live, or just do more than sleep for the most part. Most of them anyway. And I don't want to get attached to a dog with one or two more years to live." He sighs a little

"Yeah but look at it this way. You gave that dog a better few years than what it would've gotten in a kennel or a shelter." He didn't like the idea much either, but it was a nicer thought as opposed to what would happen if the animal were left in a shelter. "Better to give it a few years of pampering an' a nicer home than leaving it to euthanasia an' a shelter."

He snorts with a wide smile. "How dare you get a filthy- furry land animal when there are such pretty fish in the tank! Un-a-ccept-a-able!" He said in a higher pitch, attempting to mimic fussy fins

He started laughing, loud at the impersonation. "Oh hell. He so would say that. There'd be a storm of bubbles in the tank an' I'd have to isolate him until he calms down!" He snickered, shaking his head.

Dave smiles wider, enjoying the kisses he was getting. He was definitely calmer now, less angry too. "As stupid as a fish making a ruckus about a cat."

He grinned, fins wiggling as he ruffled Dave's hair gently. He combed it back into place a second later, giving him another kiss. "Fair enough."

He laughs softly as his hair is ruffled. "Hey now, watch the hair. I spend time on that thing." No he doesn't. Dave doesn't even comb it, he just wakes up with it in place.

He then turns to get a real kiss, smiling softly against his lips.

"Oh yes. You spend so much time on it. If I recall correctly, in the amount of time you've spent with me, I haven't seen you brush nor do anything to your hair aside from run your fingers through it." He teased, smiling into the kiss when it happened.

Dave smiled wider "shhh, just kisses now." He wraps his arms around Eridan's neck, and kissed him all soft and sweetly.

He laughed, but kissed back all the same. His fins wiggled a bit, and he gently wrapped his other arm around his waist. There wasn't anyone there with them, and he was content to kiss him as much as they pleased.

He had his wound turned to Eridan's side, so he just had to be careful not to press it against him, and he could hug him all he wants.

He presses soft pecks to his lips a couple of times, playing with his hair, and then sucks on his bottom lip a little.

He smiled into the kisses, trading slow kisses back and forth. He kneaded gently at his hip with his thumb, still being careful despite the wound being towards him. He parted his lips slightly for him to suck at, tilting his head slightly into his hand.

He whined softly at him, pouting. He tightened his grip slightly on his hair so that he could hold him still enough to steal another kiss, moving away a second later.
