Either way, Madison was next. For doing....whatever to Ren, he guessed. And for his role in all the pain they went through. Cale had dragged him to the shop to help, and Zane waited outside with Ivory for Madison to come out, preferably alone. They both lurked in the shadows, watching the doors.

Unfortunately, when the door finally opened, a couple came out. Terezi and Tassek. Ivory gripped the knife she was holding tighter. Tassek hurt her. He was still leaving and breathing but he hurt her. However, she knew striking right now would be a bad idea. So instead, she listened, and waited.

"Yes, mom?" Terezi asked, holding the phone up to her ear in one hand, and holding Tassek's hand with the other.

A bit of silence as the wind blew.

"Wait...you really found a cure?! That's amazing!....Yes....No."

Another paused.

"Alright, I'll tell Lance.Bye." Terezi hung up her phone and looked to Tassek.

"They found something, and have a plan. They'll be here in half an hour."

In a different alley, they waited. Silently, and quietly. That is, until the couple they were looking for passed by. Ivory immediately grabbed the woman and pulled her into the alleyway with her. "ESA!" She shouted.

He snatched the man, clamping a firm hand over his mouth and dragging him back.

Before the woman could move, scream, or struggled, Ivory had plunged the knife into her chest. The blood splattered onto Ivory's hand and knife, and she withdrew it. Ivory watched as the woman fell to the ground, dead. She tossed the knife to Zane.

The man struggled, trying to break free. His screams were muffled with the larger man's hand.

The struggling stopped. The man went limp. However, still alive.

The man breathed his last breath. He had finally died.

Once the man was dead, Ivory moved over and tossed the man aside, and pulled Zane down to her level by the shirt. She pressed her lips to him, kissing him passionately.

He took hold of her face and kissed her back, closing his eyes. He moved his hands down her neck, to her shoulders, where he picked her up, not pulling away from the kiss.

When Terezi's parents never arrived, Tassek went out to look for them. He found footprints in the snow, and, figuring he had no better leads, followed them...until they were joined by two more pairs. One very heavy. One very light. Oh no. He ran now, only glancing down at the trail occasionally until he reached an alley, looked in...and fell, fast asleep.

By now, Ivory had grown impatient. She wanted Madison dead. /Now./ With some careful planning, the two of them managed to make it back to Zane's apartment undetected. The two of them slipped inside, sat on the couch, and waited. Madison had to have come back alone eventually. In Ivory's silent opinion, it'd be better if he came back with Cale. Two birds with one stone.

Fortunately, they'd both gone before Tassek arrived, but what he stumbled upon couldn't have been pleasant. After forcing the knife out of its bone sheath with no small amount of leverage involving his foot and leaning backwards, they'd come back here. Where it all started, really. He didn't particularly have anything against Madison. However, he didn't have anything /for/ him either, so if Ivory wanted him dead, he wasn't one to complain.

Cale was freaking out. The Pyropes, dead? And just when they'd found a cure? That couldn't be possible. Madison wasn't helping. "It wasn't /nearly/ this bad last time I saw it. I wouldn't be surprised if Beckett attacked the hole with a flamethrower or just decided to build a swimming pool full of gasoline." "Jesus, just /shut u/--" When he opened the door, he froze, mouth open and predictable sentence unfinished. Zane sat up a little, smiled, and waved. Madison began backing up.

The door opened, Ivory looked up. With a grin plastered on her face, she stood up. Knife if her hand. Blood on her jacket. She moved towards the two males.

They were both terrified, but Cale was the only one capable of defending them both. Unless, of course, a fountain pen was somehow the cure. He put himself between Ivory and Madison, much to his reluctance, and threw his arms up.

What?! Zane leapt to his feet. This wasn't part of the plan! Cale gagged and fell backwards. Madison caught him, nearly falling down himself. Zane grabbed Ivory and tried to pull her back. "RPAI! ABRAE CALE!"

Ivory looked to Zane. Her expression grew blank. He was holding her back? Didn't he see how much Cale hurt her?! He was allowing her to be hurt. He wanted her hurt.

He was the enemy.

Without another word, she stabbed Zane in the arm to let her go.

He stared in shock at the knife for a moment until the pain kicked in and he screamed. Cale and Madison looked on in complete confusion as he tore the knife out of his arm and stumbled back into the couch. The black aura flickered and his eyes dimmed.

When he screamed. She blinked. Her eyes flicking back to their green color. her aura faded. Her hair went back to its normal length. The knife was still in her hand. Immediately, panic kicked in. She realized what she had done. She had hurt him. She had hurt everyone. It was all her fault. Her. Fault. Slowly, she backed up.

Then ran like hell.
