He was walking slowly for the first two minutes, listening to a couple of songs on his ipod, but when he remembered he still had the boat, Dave Strider walked as fast as his wound allowed him to. Borderline running really.

He rolled his eyes at the sound of him, a smile already appearing on his face. He took a moment to compose his face, opening the door and raising an eyebrow slightly.

Dave carefully set the bag down by the door, before smiling wider and gently wrapping his arms around him, burying his nose against Eridan's neck. "I missed you."

He kept the hold light, mostly around his waist, as he mentioned his shoulders being all fucked up. He kissed the crook of Eridan's neck, smiling even wider when he was squeezed.

"And man, I'm sorry, I forgot to get you a proper gift, but I got you a cool little thing from a small store." The time was now. He was so excited.

He raised an eyebrow, pulling back a bit to look at him. "A gift? Wait you actually got me something? I forgot about that..." His fins were wiggling a bit though, and he smiled at him. He kissed him quickly, melting into it a little because hey, he went for a week without kisses.

He pulls back and kisses his jaw. "Go sit on the couch, and close your eyes."

He made a soft noise when he pulled away, pouting a bit before pressing another peck to his lips and headed to sit on the couch.

He couldn't really lean back against the couch, because that hurt, so he just sat there.

Dave waited until he was out of sight to dig out the two boats. He put the smaller one in his pocket, also all wrapped despite being for him, and walked over with the boat in his arms.

"If you're peeking I'll know." He says in a teasing tone, smiling. "Also hold out your arms."

Once he did, he placed the boat there.

He shut his eyes once he heard him walk closer. His fins were flared and they started wiggling when he felt something being placed into his arms. He waited a few seconds, in case Dave wanted to say anything more before opening his eyes.

"Brown packaging? Oh how nice of you Dave!" He teased.

He took in the size of it, holding it gently and looking it over. He spoke as he started taking off the brown packaging carefully. "You didn't really have to get me anything you know. I was just joking about you getting me a souvenir. I hope it didn't cost you to much."

He squinted at him, having gotten to the bubble wrap now. "Dave you look a bit funny. You okay?" He started undoing the bubble wrap, hoping that it wasn't something that would explode in his face like a joke or so.

He still squinted at him for a bit, only one last bit of bubble wrap left on the gift. He shrugged and turned back to the gift, pulling away the last bit of bubble wrap. His mouth fell open in surprise as he carefully lifted up the boat, eyes wide behind his glasses.

It was so pretty.

Dave now allowed himself to grin, biting his lip a little. "I actually got that on the first day I was there. And I got one for me to match, but smaller." He said as he grabbed his own small package. "I just wouldn't settle for giving you anything less."

He turned the boat over, moving to kneel next to the coffee table so he could put it down and look at it that way. "You bastard. It's gorgeous. How much did it cost?" He glanced up at him, fins wiggling happily as he smiled. "How hard was it for you to keep quiet?"

"That doesn't matter, it was in my price range." Around a hundred bucks actually. But he didn't want to give him anything else, it was just instant imprint on the boat.

"But holy shit it was horrible to pretend I'm neglectful and shit. I had a hard time with that." He smiles, taking off his shades and sitting down on the couch.

He wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close in a hug and pressing kisses over his cheeks. He pulled back a bit to look at his ship, then glanced up at him quickly. "Wait, my birthday? Dave that's ages away, an' you don't have to get me anything. Honestly." Just having him there would be nice.
