They keep talking for a little bit, Dave casually looking up at the guy, and soon enough he hears him finish, so he hurries to text him a "hold on" and starts to record.

John is playing Scherzo diabolico by Alkan, surely enough, and its fucking beautiful

He replies with 'ok' to the hold on, settling back on his bed. He was staring at the ceiling, tapping his finger against his thigh and absently wondering if its possible to think about nothing without zoning out.

He is grinning and has to hold the phone between his knees as he claps at the end, John struggling not to look too excited, but a clear smile on his face as he bows to the public. Once he leaves, he sends him the video, all 6 minutes of it, which include John looking hella confident as he walks in. He particularly enjoys how he slowly starts moving with the music as he plays, which really makes it look like he's into it.
