He dug in as soon as he could, stuffing his mouth with like half of the waffle all at once.

He finished his waffle, and reached for another one. Talking about feelings was hard, and it made him feel very vulnerable, so food should at least comfort him. "I'm also sorry for not paying much attention to you lately."
