It took him about half an hour to return, but he had. Good sized fish that would be enough for both of them. It was gutted and filleted quick enough, and he called out an 'I'm back' to Dave once he hauled himself on board.

He was about to shout "Call me when it's ready", when he realized that he should probably get his ass up and do something, so he walked over to Eridan. "Hey, what did you catch?" Dave's hair looked like a mess.

"Some cod. I was going to go for the sicker looking one like I usually do, but then I remembered you don't eat fish whole, and your immune system, so I went for the healthy one." He smiled at him, leaning over to kiss his forehead as he set up the pan on the gas stove and set the scaled fish on the chopping board.

"Yeah, not too into sick fish." He pulls a face, but its quickly gone. He then wraps his arms loosely around his waist, letting him do his thing, but still hogging up all the cuddles.

"Is that a memo for you or for me?" He teased, leaning back against him a little. It wasn't long until the fish was cooked, and he had to regrettably shift away from Dave so he could divide it over two plates. "I might have missed some bones, sorry."

He had some salad in the fridge, and just put that down on the table for them to pick at. Eridan realised he hadn't anything else to eat with the fish, but shrugged. It'll be fine. He sat down next to Dave, bumping him with his shoulder playfully.

He frowned as he started eating, and gently nudged Dave to sit up by himself before going to root through the cupboards to find pepper or salt. He found both, and set the down on the table before adding salt to his fish. There, a bit more flavour.
