Eridan chirred at him, fins giving a little wiggle as Dave flopped next to him. He instantly wriggled his way into the blanket as well, butting his head gently against Dave's chin and trying to blend themselves together.

A good while passed while they tried to figure out a good position, but soon they were both tangled in blankets and in one another, nice and cozy. As Dave was shorter, he managed to curl up against his chest easily, and smiled a little, his cheek pressing against it. More like squished.

Eridan nuzzled the top of his head, only now realising he hadn't taken anything. Oh well, if he wakes up he wakes up.

He was purring softly, holding Dave close and nosing at his hair as they cuddled.

Dave remembered right as he was falling asleep, and scooted back. "Wait, your pills." He didn't even complain to get up this time, since it was something for Eridan, and got them to him in a few seconds, along with water.

"No. No Dave c'mon. 'M fine." He whined, struggling with the blankets to grab at Dave before he got too far away. He missed of course, and just sighed, pouting as he waited for him to come back.

He grimaced as he swallowed one, downing the rest if the water and setting it aside. "Should've left it."

He got right back in bed, and wiggled back into the position they were in earlier, mostly. "Sorry babe, can't have you stay up because I sleep for more than 12 hours at a time."

"But I was comfy." He nuzzled at his hair, feeling slightly drowsy already. "I would've been fine without it." He probably wouldn't've, but his pride was throwing a grump over the whole situation right now.

"I'm sure you would have, love. Just, better be safe than sorry." He kisses a spot over his heart, and nuzzles it.

Eridan sighed, resting his head on Dave's and letting himself be cuddled. "Wake me if I dream." He murmured, eyes already closed as he cuddled Dave close.

He nods, starting to feel sleepy again. "You know I will." But he trusted that his presence and the fact that he was at sea would be enough to solve it.

Eridan hoped that he wouldn't dream, he really desperately hoped. He hoped the sleeping pill would be enough for him to sleep through any dreams.

He gently ran his hand down Dave's back, the movement calming them both as he nuzzled his hair.

He smiled a little against his chest, muttering a soft "Sleep well", before he was soon asleep in his arms

Dave slept like a rock, as always, and Eridan's chest covering the window only made for a better night of rest.

Eridan slept pretty well for a while. Until he started dreaming. It wasn't a necessarily bad dream, or even a weird dream, but it made him twitch and curl up tighter around Dave with his face pressed to his hair. He didn't wake up, the pill prevented that much seeing how strong it was.

Dave didn't really wake up to that, but he somewhat stirred in his arms, got closer and wrapped his arms around him a bit more tightly, as if to protect him from something he couldn't see

Eridan settled a little, arms tight around Dave as well as they slept. He probably wouldn't remember the dream, which was pretty good for him.

Morning came without out any more dreams, and Eridan was the first to wake.

Dave had his cheek squished against his chest again, and was overall clinging to him like a scared child, even though he looked as peaceful as always.

Eridan just wanted to kiss him he looked so adorable. And because he could, he did. Gentle, soft kisses that wouldn't wake him up were scattered feather light over his forehead and hair as he gently trailed his hand down his back.

With that, his grip on Eridan seemed to diminish, as if he knew he was no longer in some sort of danger, and soon he was just cuddled up to him.

Though, he eventually turned his head in his sleep, which made him face his chest, and be unable to get that big of a variety of kisses.

Eridan pouted as Dave turned his head, gently rolling them both so that he was over Dave. He nosed at his cheek lightly, smiling a little as he shifted so that they were face to face, and started pressing kisses over his face again.

A wide smile slowly formed on his face, as his dreams shifted to clearly way more pleasant ones.

Eridan smiled at that, shifting so that he could get at his neck and jaw a little as well. He presses kisses absolutely everywhere, one hand going to Dave's to gently link their fingers together.

Dave's hand twitched at first, but then gave Eridan's a squeeze, a his whole body relaxed. He muttered something, and tried to find Eridan with his free hand. Once he did, he just placed it over his heart, and smiled wider.

Eridan's heart ached with how sweet he was, and he couldn't help but kiss Dave properly, fingers squeezing Dave's as he raised his other hand to cradle his face.
