Eridan laughs softly, puffing a breath at him and kicking a bit harder to get them to shore quicker.

"You want me to go get a shovel from the boat?" Eridan was lying with his head half under the water, blowing bubbles every so often.

Eridan grinned, puffing bubbles at him before sitting up. "You wanna wait here while I get it?"

Eridan kissed his forehead with a smile before heading quickly to the boat to grab the kiddie bucket and spade Cro got him as a joke gift to 'further his sandcastle making abilities'.

Dave smiled back and eventually got up to prepare a nice base for the sand castles they were going to build, making sure the water wouldn't wash it away so quickly.

He grabbed a second spade before jumping back overboard and swimming back to the beach. He shook his wet hair out of his face as he stood up in the shallows, showing Dave the stuff.

Eridan laughed, tossing a bucket and the spade to Dave and using his hands to fill the other bucket. He left that aside for now, and moved to reinforce the base that Dave had made.

He nodded, packing the sand tight and adding more to make it an excellent firm base. He started building up the walls then, using his bucket and more sand.

"Nobody ever built a sand castle with me aside from my bro." He muttered. "I remember having his help to build a huge one when I was little. And he helped me put the flag on top." He smiled to himself, remembering being held up to do that and how good it felt to see their masterpiece.

Eridan smiled at him, bumping shoulders playfully. "I haven't got a flag but I'll hold you up to put the shells on the top." He leaned over to kiss his cheek, smiling. "How big did it get?"

"That's tall enough." He smiled, starting on the outer wall of the castle while Dave stacked the middle up. "Cro and I made a massive one one year. We worked together."

"It was huge. He scared all the other kids away from our zone so that they wouldn't run into the fucking thing or land a ball right in the middle of the castle." He seems to be proud about that too.

"How big?"
