Dave laughs a little to himself, and just looks around to try and see if they were close to where the seahorses were at. He loves them as well, just as much as he loves turtles, if not more.

He kept looking for the little crestures while they swimmed, just finding fish. Dave points at Eridan with a sly smile once the quesion was asked . What a smooth motherfucker.

That brought a little blush to his face, even as he rolled his eyes. "Ha ha, funny. Really now, what is it?" They came to the spot where the seahorses were and sat down on the sand there.

He pointed at them once they came in sight, pretty excited, and held onto Eridan's arm while he squirmed excitedly

He had to laugh at Dave's happiness, tugging him close so that he could press kisses over his face and hug him. He led him closer to the seahorses, a few of them swimming out to greet them. Eridan couldn't be too sure whether these were descendants of the ones they'd seen earlier or the same ones. Either was they were pretty happy to see them.

Dave laughed a bit, happy as can be, and held onto Eridan, just looking around.

He can't tell whether or not they are the same seahorses, but they do seem happy to see them, and one small seahorse goes back behind some algae to apparently call the rest of them.

He reaches out with his hand, fingers spread, and most of the seahorses swim around it, but one of them wraps itself around his pinkie.

Eridan settles close to Dave, resting his head on his shoulder as he smiled. The little seahorse was bubbling hellos at them, and it just reminded him of his own little one back home. "They say hello." He kisses Dave's jaw, watching as a few seahorse float closer to tangle in his purple streak.

He only smiles wider, and nuzzle his cheek for a couple of seconds before just petting the seahorse. About four seahorses were amazed by Eridan's hair, and just kept saying it was cool kelp, until one said it was hair, so that one was clearly with them before.

Eridan bubbled in reply, fins flicking a little as well as he talked. The one stating his hair was hair bumped against his nose, telling him that it saw the shark a few days ago and there was a little turtle swimming by a few moons ago and that at one point it thought it heard another boat. Seahorses are very informative.

Dave eventually brought the seahorse closer to him after a while, and two other searhoses curled around his fingers, bubbling happily. They say that the shark looks like Eridan, and ask if he is their offspring, which is a really fucking stupid question.

Eridan just starts laughing at that, pressing his face to Dave's neck to muffle his giggles as he shook his head. He puffs a breath of bubbles at them, rolling his eyes a little at the stupidity of the question.

Dave snorts some bubbles, and pinches his nose to keep himself from inhaling water as he's laughing, grinning.

He nuzzled Dave's jaw, still laughing softly. The seahorse bumps into his nose again and he smiles at it, raising a hand so it could curl around his fingers.

A fish soon curls up in Dave's hair without him noticing, the same as before, and starts messing up his hair while Dave plays with the seahorses.

Eridan noticed. Of course he did, the fish was bubbling about how it felt and looked and was an interesting plant. He didn't let on that there was another fish in his hair, simply nuzzled Dave's cheek now with a grin and flick his fins at it.

Dave looks back at him after a bit, not really disliking this, but quickly getting bored, since he can't talk and he can't understand the seahorses, so he's hoping they can go exploring.

Eridan had this soft smile on his face as he watched Dave interact with the sealife. They eventually swam off not long after Dave looked at him, probably to go eat. Eridan tugged Dave with him to the surface so they could talk.

It wasn't until the very last moment that the fish swam away from Dave's hair, without him even noticing.

He took off his mouth piece and moved his jaw a little. "You know, this is the shit, but we gotta find a way of making me talk because this ain't working for me."

He kept his arms around Dave to keep him up. "I might have a proper scuba mask on the boat? I boat it after we went out last time, in case you came out with me again and we forgot the mouthpiece? It's got the same sort of filter system as this mouthpiece has, but you can talk? I'll be able to hear you regardless but we could try it out? I dunno if it'll work. It might be uncomfortable or something."

He nods. "Yeah that sounds weird but also fine. I do like the sound of my own voice as much as or even more than the next guy." He kisses him between his eyes, and smiles.

He huffed a laugh at him, rolling his eyes. "I've seen it used before. With like, people doing underwater documentaries and don't actually use voice overs? Let's go grab it." He twisted to float on his back, pulling Dave on top of him with a grin as he slowly started swimming back.

Dave held onto Eridan with a relaxed smile, just moving his feet as to not completely be dead weight. "I'll still look weird as fuck, most likely."
