Dave held onto Eridan tighter, just muttering a startled. "Fucking shit!".

The turtle was now in front of them, and doing all these little curves around algae is if it would throw them off.

Eridan just told Dave to stay as close as he physically could and sped after him. He was just as quick, following with quick subtle changes of direction to follow it. He kept enough distance between himself and the rocks and algae and coral so that Dave wouldn't get hit.

"Eridan careful with the fucking passenger." He says as they start doing the curves.

The little turtle eventually goes into a small coral passage though, only big enough for a fist, and there is no telling where it would come out of.

Eridan pulled up short in front of the hole, peeking through it and sticking his tongue out at the turtle. "I was careful with the passenger. I knew you weren't going to fall off." He turned his head to grin at him, fins wiggling.

Dave laughed a little, and bumped his head against Eridan's forehead affectionately. "And I think we lost the race."

"It cheated. Hid in a hole." He stuck his tongue out again before turning his attention to Dave. "Was that pleasant swim entertaining Mr Strider?"

Eridan smiled, raising his hands to hold Dave's. "Shall we leisurely swim back and have some lunch?" He wasn't too hungry, but could eat if he felt like it. He was good to swim for a while longer.

He nodded, still needing time to get used to the stuff on his head. "We shall. And you're in for lunch smooches at last." He squeezed his hand, and tried to start navigating them back.

He offered his back to Dave again, holding his hand for now as they moved back the way they'd come. He ended up tugging Dave up above the coral and algae so they were looking down at it as they swam along.

Dave took off the mask as soon as he was up, and smooched his cheek. "Alright, now it's up to you. Take us home." He wrapped his arms around him, clinging to his back with a smile.

Eridan happily kissed him back, letting him get comfortable before taking off again. He didn't go as fast this time, seeing as they weren't racing anymore, he went at a more leisurely pace, his head under the water but still on the surface so Dave could breathe without the mask.

Dave just looked around, noticing how quickly they were getting closer to the boat.

Once they were there, he climbed up, and dried his hand as best as he could with his hands. "Whats on the menu for us today?"

He hauled himself up beside Dave, grabbing one of the towels he left out and handing it to him. "Whatever you feel like. Pringles? Sandwiches? Gummy worms?" He pecked his cheek, sitting down in the sun for a bit to dry out quicker.

"Sandwiches it is then." He smiled, sitting down as he dried his chest and arms. He then went in for a quick kiss.

Dave smiled wider, and moved to be straddling his lap, his hands on Eridan's shoulders.

Dave laughed softly, shifting to be cuddling close to him as he returned the soft kisses. "I missed being here."

He hummed in agreement, closing his eyes. He nuzzled Dave's neck a little as he cuddled him closer, his body the most relaxed it's been in a month.

"I love you. So much." He lightly gripped Dave's chin with one hand, kissing him slowly. "I wish we brought the camera before. You face when you had the seahorses with you, it was perfectly picture worthy."

"That's true." He moved his hand to comb through his hair, claws scratching lightly at his scalp as he did so. Eridan smiled at him, nuzzling his temple and pressing a kiss there.

Dave hummed in delight, eyes closing lazily. "You're gonna make me sleepy again, stop this madness." Dave has no filter for situations where he should be awake.

He cups his cheeks, pulling back a bit, and then kisses him softly.
