"Love you too. Always." He nuzzled his jaw and shifted to press closer, raising a hand to stroke his cheek gently.

Dave leaned into the caress, still quite careful with what he did. That probably wouldn't change any time soon. "We'll go sailing once you're fine again, you deserve it." So what classes started tomorrow? Who cares? Dave can probably just catch up.

He nodded, closing his eyes as he continued stroking his cheek. "But, classes. We have classes." It was a lovely idea though, just go sailing and explore the other islands and just. Spend time with Dave.

He shrugs. "If you're fine with skipping, then I'm fine with skipping." Dave kissed the top of his head, and nuzzled his hair.

He eventually nodded, sighing. "I'm already ahead with the course work an' stuff." He dropped his hand, cuddling close.

"I gues there are pros in not having much of a social life." He teases playfully with a smile. "We'll go sailing then."

"You're the extent of my social life. Sometimes there are people out when I get coffee but otherwise, you're it." He smiled a little, shifting his head to look up at him.

"There's Bec too, never forget the dog." He snickered, smiling wider. "And Jake, Jake made cookies with you."

"Okay, there's three beings who are the extent of my social life." He rolled his eyes, or well, one eye seeing as the other was still shut.

Dave kissed him happily, holding Eridan close. "And two of them are big and like petting."

That got a laugh, and Eridan kissed his jaw with a grin. "Dork." He raised a hand to pat at his cheek again, smiling.

"Your dork." He grins, more than happy to put a smile on his face. He starts pressing soft pecks over his cheeks, snickering a little.

He just smiled and let Dave kiss as he pleased, occasionally returning a few pecks. His hand ended up gently stroking through his hair, as it was about as much as he could do at the moment.

He ends up starting to mutter sweet little nothings, just glad that he got there on time, kinda, and that Eridan was his. He still felt bad for not coming earlier.

Pressing a kiss to his forehead, he smiles down at him. He had no words for Eridan, but he just loved him so, so much.

Eridan relaxed against him, a small smile on his face as he listened to him. He broke up Dave's words a few times with kisses, pulling away just to hear more.

He smiled back, running his fingers gently over Dave's face as though trying to see him clearly through that as opposed to his vision. "I love you."

"Good." His fins wiggle a little, even though it hurt the injured one. "Means I'm not alone in that retrospect."

He nods, snickering softly. "Definitey not." Dave nuzzled his cheek, definitely calmer than an hour ago.

He kissed his jaw again, curling up a little closer and sighing softly. "Can you get me another painkiller please?"

"Sure, wait a second" He moved Eridan to the side, ruffling his hair a bit, and walked over to the bathroom in order to get the pills. He then comes back with those and a glass of water, sitting back down. "There you go."

He moved so that he was sitting against the headboard, closing his eyes and letting his facial expression screw up in pain. He'd made it neutral again by the time Dave was back but his hands were shaking a little and he had to take a few seconds before he swallowed the pills down. "Thank you."

Dave tugged covers over his legs, sitting next to Eridan so that he could cling to him if he wanted. "Didn't you say the others didn't have effect?"

He nodded, shifting so that his head was in his lap again and he was curled up against him. "It dulls the pain. Makes it less in-your-face. It's still there and it hurts like a bitch."

He sighs a bit, making sure Eridan was covered. "Guess you just have to deal huh. Try to get some rest." He rests a hand on his head, petting his hair.
