He nods, stretching to get his laptop from the bedside table, and turning it on. After a bit, said songs are playing.

He relaxed more once he heard the songs play, groping around for one of Dave's hands to hold onto as he tried to make himself as comfortable as he could. Eventually, his breathing evened out a little more as he drifted off again.

Dave smiled slightly, watching him fall asleep. He eventually closed his eyes too, since he didn't have much to do.

Eridan wasn't out for long, twitching awake a blinking around blearily. He almost panicked when he couldn't see, fingers digging into Dave's knee as he blinked furiously, trying to fight back panic.

Dave didn't manage to fall asleep, he just had his eyes closed, so when he felt Eridan moving he glanced down. "Eridan? What's wrong?"

"I can't /see/." He'd obviously forgotten in his sluggish pain/sleepy state, raising a hand to press at his eyes as though it would help. "Dave, Dave why can't I see what have I done."

"You can't /see/?" Yes captain obvious now help instead of talking. "Um-ummm shit, okay, the doc said nothing was wrong with your eyes, so- you most likely haven't gone blind. However I'm taking you to the hospital right now." He grabs the phone, starting to dial 911.

He flat out panicked them, swiping the phone from his hands before he could even start. "No. No no no hospitals." He grabbed at Dave's shirt, shaking his head. "Don't take me to the hospital I just need my glasses that's all." If the fact that he hadn't already said that he couldn't see he'd try and play it off.

Hospitals terrified him. He didn't even have much of a proper reason it just freaked him out.

Dave frowned, and sighed. "Eridan, they know what to do, I don't. I'll be with you the whole time, I swear, but if this turns out to be permanent because I didn't take you there, I will feel like shit, and you won't be able to sail. Just let me call."

"I can sail blind if I have to. Don't take me there. I'll... I'll just need my glasses, where are my glasses?" He looked around almost desperately, still clinging to Dave's shirt. "Dave please don't make me go there." Irrational Eridan is irrational.

"Eridan, you have to go, I don't think you understand what you being blind would imply- just." He sighs, cupping his cheeks. "Okay. Take a deep breath, and let me do something. I'm going to check if your pupils are responsive, just look right at me."

"I know what being blind is I wear glasses." He looked at him, fins pinned back against his head. One eye was still shut with the black eye but his good eye was focused on Dave.

Dave shook his head, and grabbed his phone. He shone the flash into his eye, checking if it would indeed react.

His pupil constricted when the light was shined in his eye, and he blinked repeatedly once he'd moved his phone away.

"I don't get it..." He by his lip a bit. If Eridan couldn't see, then why did it react.

"I'm gonna get your glasses, can you stay still?" He'd have to go look for them in the living room

He made a distressed noise in the back of his throat but let him pull away anyway.

His glasses were lying under the table. One lens had been popped out and the other was cracked. Thankfully, the lens that was still in was of the eye that was swollen up in a black eye.

Dave kissed the top of his head, and flash stepped to the living room to start looking for them.

Gotta go sonic fayst.

He took a bit to find them, but once he did, Dave popped the lense back in, and brought Eridan the glasses. "Here you go."

He fumbled his glasses a little, but held them firmly to his face once he did manage to get them on. He squinted, moving one hand to gingerly prob at his black eye. "S'one's still black. I can't open this eye. You're still sorta blurry though." He looked at Dave, reaching out for him. "I... I'm sorry for scaring you."

Dave sighs in relief, seeing that Eridan was at least able to locate things.

He sits down on the bed, looping his arms around Eridan. "Fucking Christ, I thought you were actually blind."

He winced a little but gladly cuddled up to him. "Thought so too. My eyesight's worse than I remember. I think all the no sleep an' stuff has wrecked my eyesight. Or maybe Sollux did." He closed his eyes, taking his glasses off just to press his face to his neck.

He shrugged, curling up close and hiding his face to his neck. "I dunno. I think so?" He nuzzled gently at his neck, trying to ignire all his aches and pains. He felt really bad for worrying Dave.
