Eridan let go of her to snarl and tug at his fins. "Fucking dammit. Great. Just great. Whatever Kanaya's going to tell you is probably old news anyway. But please don't breathe a word of this."

She took a bit, still watching him with narrowed eyes but finally nodded. "I still called it. You always seem to go for the ones that cause the most trouble Mr Ampurra."

He grumbled at him, but let go regardless. He turned back to Nepeta, who had crossed her arms over her chest and fixed him with a raised eyebrow look. "Do I have your word Leijon?"

"You know it'll come out soon enough. Especially if what Kanaya tells me this afternoon is the same thing." He frowned and nodded. "I know. But I'd prefer to be the one to tell. Do I have your word."

"You have it." Her face broke into a small smile and she looked smug again. "I seem to remember telling you, you'd be better trying your luck with humans."

"I'm not fussed about Nep. She'll keep her word forever if she had to. But it's Kanaya I'm more worried about. She's not exactly... if she knows, I'll be in more shit if she told rather than if I told them all, I think." He sighed, but gradually relaxed. "I'll deal. It's not like she can kill me. He snuggles up to his side once they're sitting down, stealing one of his chips with a smirk once they're not scalding.

"Plus, if she has a massive problem with you dating me you can just ask her when exactly she was going to say that her girlfriend was a vampire." He wasn't too sure if Dave had known that before he told him, because he remembered his surprise.

He wraps an arm around him, eating chips as soon as they sat down. This was one of the best places he knew to get chips from.

He grinned a little at that, pressing an obnoxiously loud kiss to his cheek. "Ah well, at least if they think you're joking it'll ruin that for them." He munched on a few more chips.

He remembered what he'd wanted to say when they discussed this before his nightmare. He set down the chip he'd just raised to eat, brow furrowing as he chewed at his lip.
