"I know what he likes." He grumbled, feeling a little jealous himself that Dave was first priority. Being outdone by a human, how embarrassing. "But I think I'd rather do some sort of fucked up three-way date before doing anything with just the two of us. I'm pretty sure you know him better than I do, and you'll be able to tell me to back off if I'm being too much of a shit. Eridan's too afraid to lose me again to do that himself."

"I think he either contracted something from eating a bad fish, or he got caught in the edge of a spill or someone put poison on bait and he ate it. He's healing really well, thankfully, but he did not sound happy when I found him."

"Yeah, that might be a good thing to do. Maybe just watching some movies at home or something, we could make an Eridan cuddle sandwich." If he's the favourite, he has no qualms against this. "I have no idea why he wants to date you though. No offense."

"Aw, poor thing." She frowns a little, but it soon subsides as she just feels the odd texture of the whale shark's head. "I hope he gets better soon. If you need any help around the place, you know you can count on me."

"To be honest, I don't know why he wants to date me either. I'm completely glad he does, don't doubt that at all. I'd rather you didn't feel such hostility towards me, but I can't help that. And I am totally up for Eridan cuddle sandwiches. Does he still do the thing where he curls up around you and just clings?"

"What would you do around here if I asked you for help? I know it's a bit of drive to get here, and I don't really know what you're studying, or doing or anything like that. If you wanted to do some shit with marine biology then I'm more than happy to help. I like talking about marine creatures."

"Hostility? What? Me? Feeling hostile towards the guy that beat up my boyfriend countless times and then just changed his mind? That's crazy dude, don't you lay those sort of accusations so easily on a guy." He rolls his eyes. "I'm mostly the one doing that though, but yes, occasionally he does it too."

"I'm studying to be a vet, I know quite a bit about animals." She says with a smile. "My area of expertise is more dogs and mammals in general, you know, but sea creatures aren't out of my reach. I could be helping to treat them."

Sollux scowled at him, reaching to hold the kitten now. She mewed sleepily at him, but didn't do much else as he held her close. "Shut up. I know I fucked up, alright? You know, I wish, really really badly, that I can just wash my hands of both of you and never have to see either of you again. But I can't. I've tried. I can't stop feeling stupid feelings for him, or for you. I hate that you're so dependant on what your brother thinks of you, even after all this time, and I hate that he's so used to people hating him that he thinks its common place. I hate that I have feelings for both of you, and if I could I would just leave. But I can't."

"It's probably good to know a bit about marine life when you're a vet. Especially if someone's got a sick fish or something and you're one'a the only ones who can help. I probably wouldn't have you administering anything here, but you can help out the other two humans with the feedings and things."

He is still very touchy feely when it comes to his brother. Its a tough subject, but he sure as shit wont do anything about it on his own. He just frowns, knowing its true. He sighs loudly in annoyance, but ends up just grabbing him by his hair (mostly just to keep him in place, no tugging) and goes in for a kiss. A biting one. He kinda needs that.

She nods, looking happy about that. "Alright! I'd be more than alright with that. Can't wait."

Sollux grumbled a little when he was glad, but didn't pull away from the kiss. He nipped at Dave's lips, moving one hand from petting the kitten to clenching in Dave's hair in return. He even went so far as to scratch his claws lightly against his scalp, jagged teeth pulling at his lip before he pulled away. "Careful now, don't want to scare the kitten." He mocked, sticking his tongue out.

"I can pay you if you want it to be proper work, or if you want to just use it as visitation and stuff I can just tell them to let you in without pay." He didn't really know what to do in this regard. The two humans and one seadweller were paid, but they weren't friends of his boyfriend.

Dave did have a thing for clawing and scratching, so he shivered a little when he did that, but didn't show any other signs of enjoying it other than that. Once he pulled away, he flicked his nose, panting a little. "If she isn't scared of your ugly mug, she won't be scared of this."

"I mean, if I'm just coming here to check out how this works, I don't want to be paid. But if I eventually start actually doing useful things, then yeah, that's fine I guess."

He'd noticed that before, but had never really gone on from it. Sure, it was one of the best black things to do, to wind up your partner and then just leave them hanging. Shit was hilarious, unless you ended up giving yourself a case of blue everything in return. Then it was shit.

Sollux kept his hand in Dave's hair, and tried again with his claws, moving his hand to the nape of his neck this time and drawing his claws lightly over his skin. "Better not take your glasses off sunshine, she might go hide in a bin."

"I'm fine with that." He led her over to some of the other tanks, just so she could see what's there.

Dave makes the smallest sound when he does that again, shoulders visibly relaxing. Still, he didn't do anything to stop him, because that felt great. "Please, as if my fucking face wasn't one of the best things in your life."

Jade took her time looking around, asking all sorts of questions, just looking overall interested. She talked a little about what she and Dave did back at her place, and about how the mix Dave was going to do should be great.

Sollux was a little amused that something so easy could relax him, and then he got an idea. He moved his hand to Dave's back, and then dug his claws in a little as he dragged his hand right down his spine. He wouldn't tear Dave's clothes, nuh uh, but his claws would most definitely be felt. "That may be true, but you can't deny Eridan's got a better face than you. Even the kitten has a better face than you."

Eridan listened, and answered her questions when he could. Which was pretty much all of the questions. He was curious to hear how Dave's mix would sound, but decided to wait until later and ask Dave about it himself.

He bit his lip a little as he sighed, leaning into the clawing. He was a sucker for this sort of shit. "That kitten has a better face than Brad Pitt, look at her, she's adorable. Eridan is definitely handsome though." He mumbles, tugging his hair a bit in return.

Once everything was seen, they started heading back, only to be greeted by two assholes being black to one another. "Oh golly." She mumbled, covering her eyes as she looked to the side. "I think we came back at the wrong time."

Sollux dug his claws in a little at the base of his spine. He had a bit of a shit-eating grin on his face as he slipped his hand under the hem of Dave's shirt to drag his claws over his skin.

Eridan scowled over to them, and marched over to grip both of them by their collars and pull them away from one another. "You two have no decency. Couldn't you have waited until you were at least in a private place? You're both scaring the kitten." He scooped her up from Sollux's lax grip, bundling her up in his scarf as he crossed his arms over his chest and frowned at them.

It really wasn't hard to get them to stop, since Dave was just so relaxed now by the clawing. His cheeks turned a bit red when he noticed that the two of them were watching though, and he mumbled an apology, looking away from them.

Jade looked at them when Eridan apparently broke the fight, and slowly walked back up to them. "I uh, I think I'm gonna let you have some private time." She giggled, though embarrassed. "So, bye Dave!" And like that she practically ran off.

Eridan sighed, pretty much face-palming. "You both are idiots. Dave, how did you get here? Did Jade drive you or did you drive yourself?"

Sollux just grumbled at him, muttering something about stupid intruding seadwellers and "we weren't even doing anything indecent". Besides, it wasn't like he was winding Dave up or anything, he was just... relaxing the shit out of him. Yeah.

"Are you heading back to yours now?" He maybe wanted to spend a little more time with Dave, maybe curl up on a couch and hug him some, but only if he didn't have anything better to do. He gently tipped his chin up with a finger, smiling a little as he looked down at him.

Sollux rolled his eyes at the sweet gesture, arms folded over his chest. "Hey, if I can't do shit with him you can't do shit with him. Keep your dumb affectionate crap to an enclosed space please."

"You're just jealous."

"Go choke on a dick Ampora, I'm not jealous." Yes he is, but only a little bit.

Dave smiled a little back at him, appreciating the sweet gesture, and leaned up to peck his lips. "Nah, I'm free for the day. We could get back to our place, and like, bring that shithead along."

He laughs a little at their bickering though, just getting up to hug Eridan. "He's kinda right babe. C'mon, let's go."

"Eh, I'll go with him." He reached around Eridan to flick Dave on the ear, before just shoving his hands in his pockets.

Eridan just rolled his eyes and walked over to his car. "Okay, then I'll see you both back at my place?"

His smile just widened at all the affectionate little things that were going on in front of Sollux, because yeah, he's an asshole and he'd rather make Sollux jealous than be jealous.

Once they reached the exit, he pulled Eridan down for a sweet little kiss. "Love you. I'll see you in a bit." He then heads for his car, motioning for Sollux to follow.

Eridan smiled at him, keeping the kiss rather chaste for now. He smiled as he pulled back and waved as he headed for his car.

Sollux followed along behind Dave, and got in once the car was open. "You need to keep your jealousy in check. It's pretty much tangible. If you don't like me being with Eridan so much, why did you let him do it?" He sounded genuinely curious here.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He shrugs, turning on the engine. "I'm not jealous. But if you're wondering why I let him get back with you, it's because he didn't like the idea of me being with you either, and hey, guess who still insisted I got with you. I can't tell him what to do. Plus... I kinda owe him for that."

He is a little happy that Eridan decided to let Dave date them both, honestly, so why wouldn't he pay him back? He starts heading for Eridan's place, playing some Childish Gambino while he was at it.
