Eridan just sighed at him again and led him over to the turtles. One of the humans stuck his head through the door and told him that two people were here for him. "You good sitting here still or do you wanna sit with Dave and hold the kitten?"

He rolled his eyes but pushed him to go get changed again. Once he was back he led him to the seating area next to the small self service cafe that was there. Really it just served shitty instant coffee and some snacks, but oh well. That's where Dave and Jade would probably have been taken to.

They were leaning on the counter while they ate some snacks, and Jade was the first one to notice them. "Hiii!" She paused for a bit, looking confused. "Who's the other grumpy pants?"

Dave rose a brow when he saw Sollux, but he just kind of shrugged. "Uh... my other boyfriend. Yeah, that is a thing we're doing."

Both Sollux and Eridan went for Dave for a hug (or a jab in Sollux's case), but Eridan pushed Sollux out of the way first. "That's Sollux. He's one of the trolls I knew before." He pulled back and smiled at Jade. The kitten mewled and poked her head out from his scarf.

Sollux rolled his eyes and reached to pour himself a cup of shitty coffee. "I'm the better one of us three."

Dave snorted when Sollux was pushed out of the way, and just hugged him back with a smile. It was kind of cute seeing someone as tall as Dave being shorter than someone. As soon as the kitten mewls though, he's petting her little head. "You brought her?"

Jade laughed, grinning. "I wouldnt advise you to drink the coffee.. it's... odd." She advised, but was soon looking at the kitten too. "Aww! Can I pet her?"

He kissed his hair, and nodded. "Yeah, I didn't want to leave her at home. You can hold her while I show Jade around. Sollux will probably steal her from you though."

"It's shitty instand coffee, Eridan what the fuck I thought you had class?"

"Hey, I don't supply the coffee or the snacks, the humans deal with that, I usually bring a thermos with tea."

Dave nods, instantly stealing the kitten with his greedy little dj hands. He kisses the kitten's head, and then let's Jade have a go at petting her. "I won't let that happen, I have a great left hook." He joked.

Dave smirked, rolling his eyes. "My coffee is the real deal, not this shit. I could probably convince them to buy some food one from me."

"Or I can just put in a brand that isn't utterly shitty. Who knows, maybe the humans like this. I'm not fussed because I don't drink it." He scratched the kitten behind the ear, and then stepped back so that Jade could go on with petting her.

Sollux moved to sit at one of the chairs, legs stretched out and arms behind his head. "At least the snacks are okay."

"Who knows, but hey, as long as they can work, it shouldn't matter. That's a luxury." Dave shrugs, and moves to sit next to Sollux once Jade went up to Eridan, a wide smile on her face. Seeing Eona really softened her up.

"So, what are we waiting for? Dave already has someone to babysit him, let's go!" She giggles, starting to head where Sollux and Eridan came from. Dave rolls his eyes, just rubbing Eona's back. "She's silly, don't listen to her."

Sollux took the kitten as soon as Dave sat down, holding her against his chest and gently scratching under her chin. "Yeah, don't worry. I'll keep him in line."

Eridan rolled his eyes at both, and gestured for Jade to follow him first down a hallway. "We keep all the eggs and smaller marine animals that'll be released out into the wild here. I've got a few of my seahorses here as well."

Dave settled for just petting her back as Sollux scratched her chin. "So, how did the time alone with Eridan go?" He asked once he was sure Jade and Eridan weren't in hearing range

Jade looked very interested, a wide grin on her face as she looked around. "Dave told me about the seahorses, and he showed me some pictures. They're cute. Are there any really small cute fish here?"

"He kept having this look on his face like he expected me to beat him up again. And then he kept pulling that weird face he gets when he can't decide whether he wants to smile or hide it."

"Yeah, my seahorses are the best. I rescued a few from an empty house, and their spawn are here. And yeah, we have a few clown fish and small reef fish here that are more for showing and for examination than to be released."

He hums in thought, nodding. "Understandable, he doesn't trust you fully yet. Buy him tons of chocolate and try to make up for all the years you spent beating the fuck out of him." That was an ironic reply, but it did have some undertones of sincerity.

"Ooooh, can I see your seahorses then? And the clown fish? I had one when i was a kid and I named it Nemo." Because she's very original.

Sollux scowled at him, flicking him on the ear with psionics. "I was acting on orders. I did a lot less damage than I could have, alright? I know I did wrong, can you two stop acting like I'm going to snap and beat the fuck out of him?"

Eridan smiled a little and lead her over to a tank. He ducked his head a little to look, and a few seahorses came swimming happily out of the kelp to see him.

"Aaaawwww!" She gasped, looking at all the little seahorses. "They're so cute! How old are they?"

He scowled even more, crossing his arms over his chest and grumbling. "What sort of reason does he want? I told him that I don't even consider that sort of thing, haven't since I started going black with you."

"About six months. They're doing really well, which I'm glad for. They're really healthy, as are most of the small fish that we keep here for studies and such. Some of the bigger things though, not so healthy. I had a sick whale shark brought in last week, but he's looking better. Do you want to go pet him?"

He took the chance to steal the cat, pressing a kiss to her little head again. "He probably wants proof. Maybe instead of just not acting black with him, you should show some affection." He cannot believe his own words, but they just spill as jealousy fills him.

"Of course I do, silly! C'mon, where's the whale shark?" She practically tugged him to go to where the whale shark is.

Both brows raise at that and he sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Fucking... Fine. If I can get him alone at least. He said that we'll take it slow, and that you'll always be coming first priority wise."

Eridan rolled his eyes and led the whale back outside and to the open tanks. The whale shark was lazily swimming around, though when he stuck his hand in the water, he swam closer for a quick pat. "This one's gonna be here until he's better, then I'm releasing him back out."
