He chewed at his lip, glancing down at Eridan's vulnerable face. "What makes you think he'd have me in a quadrant at all? Or the polygamy thing or whatever." He couldn't deny, having two quad- er, relationship partners was a definite yes according to his duality shtick that always hung out in his head. "What makes you think he'd want me around at all? He probably thinks I'm trying to go for your red. And he'd let me, y'know. He wouldn't say a thing because if he knows that it makes you happy then he'd step back and let me do whatever I want."

"What makes me think that is the fact that he still feels red for you. He doesn't feel like he's have a chance, or that it would work out just the two of you though. You have no reason for not just stealing my red quadrant if you were trying to do that, so, he'll understand. Go slow on him though."

He still felt pretty conflicted over it all, and just looked down at Eridan again. "Let me think about it. And you might want to talk with him about it when I'm not here. Just, take him back now, alright? This shit's getting too comfortable for me. I shouldn't be doing this."

He smiles a little as he carefully takes Eridan back on his lap, content with where this had gone. He still felt a tinge of jelousy when he thought about Sollux acting all romantic-y with Eridan, but he told himself to just get over it.

He kept the sandwiches close for Eridan when he decides to wake up. "I'll talk to him. Thanks for taking care of him for a while."

Eridan stirred a little when he was transferred from Sollux's lap to Dave's, but he settled pretty quickly, mumbling a little under his breath. One hand clutched at Dave's shirt, and he nuzzled against his chest.

Sollux watched the exchange before turning his attention to his phone again. "It's fine."

Sollux hesitated, because he was feeling utter mixed emotions right now and didn't know what to think, but eventually he sighed and moved to shove himself up against Dave's side.

He smiles a little wider, and wraps an arm around him as well, kissing his cheek and just letting himself shut his eyes again.

When Eridan woke up a few hours later, he didn't move at first, knowing that his hip was going to hurt like all hell as soon as he did move.

He glanced up at first, and both brows raise in surprise as he stares. Sollux is curled up against Dave's side with his head pillowed on his shoulder, flat out asleep. Dave is asleep as well, and Eridan can't help but feel like it looks like they belong together. That thought sends an ache through his heart that he can't quite explain.

Dave has his nose buried in Sollux's hair, half holding him, half holding Eridan. He is ready to only wake up when September ends.

Eridan watched them for a bit longer, before carefully sliding away from Dave's grip. He was glad that Dave didn't have a firm grip on him, and replaced himself with a pillow just in case. He needed to pee, and also wanted to move around a little so that his hip wouldn't seize up.

He whined a little in his sleep, and squeezed the pillow once Eridan put it there, leaning more against Sollux. Naps were great. Eridan's food was still there, on a plate.

Eridan took the food with him, placing it on the counter before using the toilet. He was biting his lip to keep the curses in by the time he came out, and grabbed the pringles and the plate as well as a blanket before heading upstairs into the cockpit to eat.

Dave woke up a few minutes after Eridan left, looking around. He was confused, but ended up just cuddling up to Sollux further and drifting back into an light sleep

Sollux had woken up as well briefly, but he was asleep by the time Dave woke up.

Eridan stayed up in the cockpit for a while, inspecting his hip and mentally berating himself for getting injured. Despite it being the end of the trip, he felt horrible that he'd gotten himself injured which meant they'd be leaving first thing in the morning.

Dave ended up clinging more to Sollux, since he was warmer than the pillow, and eventually he had let go of the pillow in favour of letting his hand rest on Sollux's lap, which was probably his sleepy way to try and hug him close.

When Sollux woke up again, he realised that Dave was the only one in the room. He felt a moment of panic, then confusion, because why would he panic? The back bunk was right under the cockpit though, snd when he heard movement up there he realised where Eridan was. Instead of going up to drag him back down, he lead back down properly. He made himself comfortable, cuddling Dave close to him.

He constantly drifted in and out of sleep for a long while, having vivid dreams that could easily be interrupted if someone breathed a little too loud. Eventually though, he made an effort to wake up properly, and looked around to see if Eridan was there.

Sollux woke up at the same time Dave did then, but he was still half asleep and simply mumbled, "He's up in the top bit thingy." before hugging Dave close again and attempting to get him to fall asleep.

Being the cuddle but that he is, he easily let himself be hugged, and even moved to be more comfortable in his hold. "Shouldn't we go check on him?"

"He's probably being self-hating and moody. Let him mope." Sollux just didn't want to let go of Dave right now, he was warm and comfortable and nice to hold.

At that though, he frowned, and pushed himself up on his feet without another thought. "I'm gonna go talk to him. "

"Oh for fuck's sake." Sollux whined, psionics grabbing at Dave before he just let him go, picking himself (and a few blankets) up with psionics and floating up after them. He dumped the blankets on the floor of the cockpit, taking Eridan's as well before dropping him and Dave (gently) onto the pile. "I hate you all."

Sollux dropped himself to lie on the seat, grumbling softly. He was just annoyed that Dave left to go sit with some injured fish.

Eridan was confused as well, but he smiled a little and kissed Dave's forehead. "I'm fine. Why did you come up? You were still asleep when I went."
