"I don't remember that." He nestled closer, nuzzling his hair. "Besides, sometimes I just look like I've been asleep, since you seem to always get so huffy when i don't sleep."

"Well, if you can't sleep you just can't, I guess. But if that happens, shove me off, I don't want you to just lay still for an hour or two because of me."

"But I like laying with you. It's comfortable. It's-" he'd almost say safe. But he felt like that would be a bit weird. He shrugged, closing his eyes. "It's better than laying alone."

He nods a little, happy to hear it. "If you like it I guess that's fine." He concludes, nuzzling his neck again. "But if you do want to get up, move me."

He hummed in acknowledgement, nosing at his hair. He probably wouldn't move Dave, he liked the security that cane from holding him too much o let go. He could be a selfish shit when he wanted to.

Dave was happy that he didn't shove him off, really, because despite what he just said, he did like waking up with a face full of Eridan. He starts relaxing, and his breathing eventually evens out.

He smiled when he felt Dave relax, his hand having come up to gentle stroke over his hair and his back. He was gradually relaxing, but wasn't yet asleep. He was content to just lay and cradle him.

Dave didn't take long to fall asleep after he started petting his hair, it only serving to relax him further. Five minutes after or so, he was going on his way to dream land.

Eridan took a while to follow him, just laying there with his eyes closed and gently petting him. He fell asleep eventually, curled around Dave.

He woke up a few hours later, when the sun still hadn't risen.

By then, Dave had successfully koala-ed around him again, breathing evenly. His face looked neutral, yet soft, like he felt completely protected and nothing could really get to him.

Eridan had pulled away a little to see his face, and wished then that he could take a photo. Dave looked so peaceful, so comforted and safe almost and he just wanted that forever pictured. He settled for pressing a light kiss to his forehead and cuddling close again.

He didn't seem to stir, pretty deep in his sleep, but clung to him a little once he cuddled up to him again.

He'd only really wake up once his alarm went off, at six fifteen.

Eridan was well awake when his alarm went off, and tipped Dave's chin up slightly to kiss him softly once he heard it go off. His way was nicer to wake up to than a bloody alarm.

He blinked sleepily, furrowing his brows a little at the feeling of being kissed while he heard the annoying beep. He reached for the phone blindly, and turned off the alarm, before closing his eyes again, and wrapping his arms around Eridan's neck to return the kiss.

He smiled as he returned the kiss, fingers still dragging through his hair. "Morning." He nuzzled his cheek, smiling at him.

He groaned, which was probably a replacement for "Good morning, don't want to talk, just woke up.", and buried his face on his shoulder.

He laughed softly, tucking him closer and nuzzling his cheek. He resumed his gentle pets and touches, smiling against his hair as he pressed little kisses here and there.

He relaxed into those again, and even though they were relaxing, the touches also served to keep him awake, so soon enough, he was opening his eyes again. "...morning."

He smiled, nosing at his jaw and pressing a few kisses to his cheeks. "You have a bastard alarm. Why do you have it set so early?" He kissed him again, fingers dragging through his hair.

"B'cause... I have to be at work by 7..." He muttered. "And I like to lazy around in bed before I have to get up."

He turns his face to the side so that he can kiss him, petting Eridan's hair in return.

"Dunno. Didn't sleep too much anyway." He nuzzled his cheek, leaning into his hand a little.

He nods a bit, kissing at his cheeks. "Well, lemme make it up t'you with kisses n' stuff." He mutters, making it his life mission to kiss every inch of his face. This was above and beyond the call of duty, but who really cares.
