"No need to thank me." He'd probably call in to warn people he wasn't going to work tomorrow morning when Eridan wasn't listening too.

Roughly fifteen minutes later, they're at the second stop, as Dave sped up a little, this time needing Eridan's help to carry the tanks.

Eridan held a tank under one arm, holding a folder in his other hand as he headed in. He had to ask at the counter for the person he usually dealt with. This one took a bit longer, seeing as it was a marine park and there was a heap of people going through. They were eventually in another room doing more paperwork.

He enjoyed looking at the little kids that were staring at the tanks, a kid no older than 2 with a pacifier approaching to look closer. He just smiled, crouching so that he could see. "They're sea horsies." The kid laughed, staring at them, and Dave just kept talking to the kid while they weren't called in.

After that he went to check what Eridan had to fill.

Eridan smiled at one of the little kids looking at the seahorses before they headed in. He filled out basically the same information again, and wrote down what feed they were currently on because he knew that marine parks generally box fed seahorses and some types of fish due to money so he wrote down what feed they were on.

Dave eventually settled for playing tetris on his phone while Eridan took care of it, humming to himself. His stomach grumbled a little, since he hadnt eaten anything since 7am, and he pulled a face.

A little bit later he gestured for Dave to follow him with the tanks to a back hall where a whole heap of clean tanks were with fish that were to be put on display. He glanced at Dave and quietly asked if they could go to the food court in the park. He got permission to do so and took Dave's hand, pulling him along.

Dave was too distracted by his phone still, so he was a bit confused when he took his hand, just squeezing it a little and following. "Where are we going?"

"Food. I'm pretty sure you're hungry. An' I might eat something." He tugged him along but got distracted by the fact that there was a touch pool, where they could hold a starfish or touch a stingray. He hesitated before heading on towards where the food is. They can always come back.

"Oh, oh alright. You don't have to, you know, I can eat something on the way back." He said, watching his gaze go to a touch pool. He decided to say something about it, since Eridan looked like he wanted to go there. "Hey that looks neat, think we can come back here afterwards?"

"The person I deal with here is extremely nice. We've basically just gotten a free pass to the park. An' we're early for the next place, I got a text while you were on your phone. They're busy right now so we can waste a bit of time here if you want."

He nodded, smiling, and nudging his cheek a little with his nose. "Thanks. I bet this is the bettered version of an amusement park to you."

"It is a much more enjoyable version." He smiled, nudging him with his elbow and pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Food first, then we can explore as much as you want."

He nodded, smiling a little wider at the kiss to his forehead, and leans over to give his cheek a big ol' smooch.

They were getting a couple of odd looks, because it wasn't enough that they were two dudes, one was a troll and the other wasn't. Same sex troll relationships had been pretty much accepted, as females and males had the same role in reproduction, but inter species interaction was still pretty taboo for some people.

Dave just ignored them though, sticking close to Eridan. "What do you want to eat?"

"I'm fine with just chips or something." He smiled at him, pulling him through to the food court. There was a pretty varied selection of food they could have, and he waited for Dave to choose before he chose anything. There were a few seats he could sit in, and he really didn't care about other peoples opinions right now.

He nodded, looking around, before deciding to just get a sandwich. It was easy to prepare and eat, and pretty filling, plus cheap. Talk about a perfect meal. He also bought a bag of Lays originals to go with it, since chips are indeed great.

As they sat down, he clutched his stomach, that felt particularly empty now, and hurried to take a few bites out of the long sandwich.

He ended up getting hot chips, big enough for the both of them if Dave ended up wanting some.

He sat down opposite him, the food in front of him and slowly started on the chips. He looked a bit amused at how fast he was eating. "Slow down a bit. Wouldn't want to choke now."

He held up a finger, as if to tell him to wait, and only after the third bite did he put it down to relax a little. "Shit. That's good, damn." He nearly sounded like he found heaven between two buns.

He laughed softly, shaking his head at him. "When was the last time you ate? I thought you might've had something to snack on." He picked at his chips, offering them to Dave even as he ate.

He shook his head, rubbing his stomach a little over his shirt. "Last time I ate was when I started my shift, when you were there, so... 8 hours ago, I think." He was supposed to end it by one, which is when he starts to get hungry, but one ended up being three, nearing four.

He took a chip with a slight smile, pushing the other half of his sandwich towards him, as if to tell him he could eat it.

He declined the sandwich, pushing it back towards him. "You obviously need it more than me. I'm not too hungry anyway." He picked at the chips again, using his unbandaged hand to eat them. He glanced around, looking slightly worn down now. His pains had settled into aches for now, and he considered taking a panadol or something when he got back to the car.

He shrugs "Alright, your loss." He kept devouring his food, only stopping for a moment when the two year old he talked to before came running to him, to tug on his jeans and say hi. As he looked down at him, Dave smiled. "Well hey little guy, whatsup?"

He saw the kid make grabby hands at him, and he looked around. "Where's your mommy? Or daddy?" He asked, but the kid just kept making grabby hands at him.

He rose a brow, lifting the kid to sit him on one of his legs. "You lost them?"

Eridan smiled at the kid, making sure not to show teeth. He looked around once he realised the lack of parents, trying to see if there was anyone looking worried.

He looked back at the kid. "Where'd your mama go last?"

They were almost done with food, so he stood up to get a better look around.

The kid was two years old, maybe, Dave doesn't fucking know how old they are before they start walking, and he didn't look like he could speak very well, just make sounds mostly. "Do you know where your mommy is?" At that, the kid finally shook his head, leaning against Dave, and taking off the pacifier to reach for Dave's chips, and eat some. He didn't really stop him.

"Well shit. I think we need to report this."

He nodded, gesturing to wait there before he hurried off to grab the security guard standing looking bored in corner. He explained quickly, coming back with him and gesturing to the kid.

"And up we go kid, hold on." He said, getting up and cradling him in his ams, just making him laugh again. He let him take the bag of chips, seeming to make him calm.

"Time to go with the nice lady." He says, but as he was about to hand him over, he clung to Dave's shirt.

"Uh... Ok look, I swear I ain't trying to steal no one's kid, he's just.. i think he likes me?"
