He bit his lip to shut himself up, shoulders relaxing a bit in relief. "If anyone'd make it awkward it'd be me, don't worry. I have a knack for that sort of thing." He joked, glancing at him. "I was contemplating shifting you so that you wouldn't end up all awkward an' stuff but you're like... like a space heater. An' I was comfortable so just fuck it."
He looked down at the pizza, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I'm fine." He wasn't too hungry yet, plus his insides were still sort of getting over the prospect of having to cut their way to freedom away from his stupidness for that predominantly awkward situation. He was glad Dave didn't seem to really, regret it.

He'd have to say something now huh? Thats how shit went, you apologise for being as awkward as you were when you were a pre teen and move along to not make it awkward again. Thats counter-productive. So of course he just said the first piece of bullshit that came to mind.
"The stars shouldnt take long to appear, still want to head to the beach or will this do?" Thankfully whatever he said didnt sound too bad. He supposed he could have said something stupider.

He simply shifted his ass into the corner of the bench, knees drawn up to his chest as he shivered momentarily from the wind. The cockpit was protected well enough from the weather, but that wind came right through the gap. He couldn't really be bothered to go down and get a shirt, so he'd just have to suffer through it.
"Oh um. No. They generally start appearing after dusk. So yeah around now. I'm fine here. If you want to go to the beach we can." He liked watching the stars from the boat more than the beach if he were perfectly honest. Well, at least in this mood he preferred the boat.

"Boat it is. I can even kick your flat ass at cards if we get a deck. Werent you the one that liked a good game of cards?" He glanced at the blanket he had brought with him upstairs, and then at him, wondering if he should say something. "You know, there's a little useful thing right there. Starts with a b"
2015-07-24 05:23:54 -
🌀
"Kick my ass? I'd be kicking your ass. What game? I can go grab a deck." He grinned, head tilted slightly.
He glanced at the blanket and shrugged, shifting a bit so that it looked like he was slouching in his seat. It was comfortable though, so he wasn't too fussed what he looked like. "I am aware it's there. I'm fine though."

"Lets see, we can try Briscola again, or poker. You know what, surprise me. Teach me one." He smiled again now that he didnt look bothered. "Plus yes. Yes I will kick your ass at whatever you pick."

"We could play a game of cheat. Or joker." He smiled and tilted his head. He dared to nudge him with his foot, sticking out his tongue. "Fuck off no you wont. I'm good at cards, especially ones I've been playing for real long times."
2015-07-24 05:33:28 -
●
"Remind me again of what is cheat, it think ive played it. I also think you'll lose at it." He laughs, nudging him back. "And I'm good at having luck, bring it on."
2015-07-24 05:35:14 -
🌀
"You gotta be good at bullshitting. An' if we play cheat strider, you don't get to wear your shades. Mandatory rules." He smirked, fins wiggling a bit. "The deck gets split between the players, so for us we each get half, we place down either three or four cards at a time, and say what the card is. So for example I could put down a king a queen and a jack, and I say as much. Or, I could bullshit it and say king, queen and a ten. If you think I'm lying, you can say cheat or bullshit. If i am, I have to pick up the stack of cards in the middle, which is all the ones we've placed down, but if I'm not bullshitting an' you call me out on it, you have to pick the stack."
2015-07-24 05:41:02 -

"Bro, bullshitting is my middle name. And man, why you gotta be like that?" He laughs, already taking off his shades. "Yeah I've played it, go get the deck"
2015-07-24 12:54:07 -
🌀
"Because you'd use it to your advantage to win." He stuck his tongue out, snickering before pushing himself up to head inside and grab the deck. He resettled himself back where he had been sitting, starting to shuffle the deck.

"I'll win either way." Dave shrugs, teasing him, and smirks as he watches him shuffle the cards, the remaining natural light slowly being drained

Eridan reacged down the staircase, stretching to flick the switch that would bring on the cockpit lights for them. He glanced up at Dave's words, merely smiling before handing him half the deck. "If you say so. You can go first." He was exceptionally good at cheat, being able to lie and look completely neutral, or tell the truth and look neutral.

Dave smiled a little as he took the deck, searching through it a little, before setting down 3 cards, facing down. "Ten, nine, and eight." He had no particular strategy, except just keep himself from doing anything else than have that relaxed smirk on his face for the most part
2015-07-24 23:56:32 -
🌀
Eridan had his own rule for himself. Never call nor play a cheat within the first three turns. It just wasn't too worth it in his opinion. He had a strategy though, that practically always worked. "Seven eight an'a two."
His face was completely neutral, a small smirk only just there on the corners of his lips. His fins weren't even moving, everything just completely still.

Dave usually went through with all the bullshit he had to do in the beginning, as he didnt want to win back everything near the end, but that was just common sense.
"three, four and six"

🌀
"Nine, seven, an' a four." Eridan glanced at him, head tilting slightly. His words were true, as the generally were at the start, and he was already formulating his first bluff. He had three kings in his hand, knowing Dave had the other one, and glanced back at his cards again. No aces. He always found it easier to play with two, you could guess what the other person had then.

"Two aces and an eight" he said, his expression continuing to be the same, his motions fuid as before. Though, he did not play two aces. He could have, but he did not

Eridan studied him a minute, before letting him keep his unknown bluff and placing three cards down. "Three kings." His first bluff, but unknown since it could be correct. Dave would have the other king. He waited for his next turn. Expression not changing at all.

Dave glanced at his own deck, pondering if he should call bluff. After all he would have been doing exactly what he had.
There were still few cards on the table... and his own play made him suspicious, otherwise he wouldnt have said shit.
"I call bluff"

🌀
Eridan merely smiled and flipped the three cards over, collecting the deck with a smirk. "Thanking you. Making my way to winning much easier Dave." He knew he'd probably be the first to collect all the cards, he nearly always was and it annoyed him to no end. Be the first called bluff and win in the end. Eridan logic.
"Three fours."

He laughs a little, grinning as he saw him look through the cards, and shaking his head. "Alright buddy, I'll give you half of the deck if it makes you hopeful. Two kings and a jack"

"Cheat."
He was holding three kings. He rearranged some of his cards, looking at it before looking back up at Dave with an eyebrow slightly raised.

Well that was careless.
Picking up the cards, he sighs a little. "Two eights and a duke"
