He had three eights in his hand, but it was honestly a waste to call bluff right here. He had all fives though. "Three fives."

He moves so that he is more comfortable, his legs now crossed in front of him. He checked his cards. He had three sevens and three sixes. "Three sixes and a seven." Might as well start getting rid of them now

"A five, a seven, an' two kings."
He out the cards down, shuffling his cards again to reorganise. He'd probably call truth on his next go. He had put down only one king, replacing it with an ace and looking at his cards again. He tended to randomise when he bluffed and when he didn't, and felt like getting rid of cards. After all, person with the no cards won.

"Two sevens and two aces" he put down those cards, not planning on doing anything that gives him cards for now

"Two kings an' a four." He placed the cards down, now truth as opposed to his earlier bluff. Cheat could be a pretty plain game sometimes, if the people playing were good at controlling their facial expressions.

He furrows his brow now, though he is more than sure he bluffed before, not now. "A six and two fives"

"Three threes." He put down the cards, raising a hand to scratch at his fin. The dried salt irritated him still, there was a little piece of salt trapped under a stud in his fin and it was pissing him off now. He folded his cards face down for now, reaching up to get it out with both hands while Dave took his turn.

"Cheat." He had two threes in his hand.

Eridan pulled the stack towards him with one hand, the other still on his fin as he took the piercing out and ran his fingers over the hole.
"Two aces an' a jack." He frowned down at the piercing, using his nail to flick the salt off of the edge.

Dave looked over at his fin, managing to see the small hole there. He once more forgot he cant stare without it being weird without the shades, but he quickly catches himself. "Two aces and a six" he was bluffing now

"Bull." He was looking at his third ace in his hand, glancing back up at him with a slight smirk.
He gestured to his fin with one hand, "it doesn't look inflamed does it. Fin piercings are a real bitch when something gets caught in between."

●
He laughs as he takes the cards, and leans closer to be able to tell. "Hold on, lemme just-" he gently held one side of his face, to turn his head, so that the fin was being hit straight on by light. "Im assuming the area should be violet-ish if it was, so nah, you're good. Isnt sea water good to disinfect piercings though? Always heard that." He sits back in place

Eridan held still as he turned his head, flaring his fin a bit to make it easier to see. "It is good to disinfect piercings with, if the waters clean enough. This area's pretty clean but the it dried an' there was salt in between. S'all itchy now." He scowled slightly, turning his head back to look at him.
"Two twos an' a king."

"You should shower with the piercings out to clean that. A seven, a three, and an ace."
"By the way, how's your gill?"

"Three nines." His only nines, Dave would have the last.
He glanced at him, then at his side. "Alright. Can't feel it much anymore. An' it hasn't stated bleeding again so its okay."

"Two eights and a nine." His deck was getting considerably small by now.
"Cool. Wouldnt want the prince of grapes to be injured on the last day of expedition" he smirks
2015-07-25 02:53:32 -
🌀
"It isn't an expedition without someone getting injured Dave." He grinned, shifting to nudge him with his foot. His deck was larger then Dave's, but not by too much. "Two kings an'... A queen." An unintentional hesitation for a true hand. He put the two kings and the queen down, rubbing at his fin in annoyance.

Eridan knew how to control himself too well to actually do something like that. Dave didnt buy it. He didnt even check the price, or his wallet, knowing that the particular item Eridan was trying to sell would forever gain dust on the shelf.
"A nine and a three."
"Pfff, well this was one hell of an expedition. You got hurt in the stupidest way possible." He grinned, nudging him back

"Trying to stop you from clinging to me like a limpet? It's your fault Dave. I was only trying to get you off'a me." He grinned and nudged him again, sticking his tongue out. "Two tens an' a king." He glanced at his cards, eyes narrowing a bit unconsciously as he shuffled his hand again. What he said was true, he was simply pondering whether he should bluff next or not.

"By turning into a washing machine and rolling us into sand? Way to do that bro." He snickered, obviously ignoring the fact that Dave clinging to him was starting to be a bit of a frequent thing.
"A ten and two jacks." He glanced at the cards and made his lips twitch down for a second, looking at the size of his deck, as if he was afraid to get more cards, though it wasnt a bluff
2015-07-25 03:09:08 -

"Next time I'll just bury you, how about that?" He rolled his eyes and shook his head at him.
He was about to call him out when he stopped, studying him through slightly narrowed eyes. Dave's eyes did not show a single hint of apprehension towards picking up the deck, which is what his expression seemed to be, so Eridan let it slide. He put down his last two kings and a queen. "Two kings, an' a queen."

"Sounds like a dream. Where do I sign up?" He nudges him again, laughing a bit.
Now he was going to play clean for the most part, as Eridan's deck was bigger than his, so, when he reached his last cards, and put them down with a smirk, he spoke. "King, three, and six. Am I bluffing, Eridan?"
2015-07-25 03:19:46 -
🌀
Eridan just smiled. He'd been playing the kings all game. He didn't remember there being one in the stack Dave had picked up earlier and he'd played his last.
Dave had played his last cards, but if he called Eridan's bluff on his throw and was right then he would win. Otherwise he'd have to pick up the deck. Eridan took his time choosing the cards, chewing on the inside of his lip and making tiny facial expressions.
Finally he out down a two, a nine and a queen. "No you're not bluffing. But am I?" He copied Dave's smirk, over-exaggerating it before looking quite honest in the fact that he didn't think Dave would call him out. "A two, a nine an' a queen."
2015-07-25 03:27:56 -

He pressed his lips together, narrowing his eyes. He could be bluffing, but he could also not be. What was the point of bluffing now? "No. No you are not."

Eridan grinned at him. "Well done Mr Strider. Your prize is to go an' get me the packet of biscuits in the second cupboard above the cooker." He laughed and nudged him, pulling the cards towards him to reshuffle and then just fiddle with.
