He shook his head a bit and laughed as well. "How about approximately one hundred and thirty problematic thoughts? Would that be enough to weigh you down? Or would you prefer the mundane stones."

Well this did not suddenly take a dark turn at all. His laughter dies a bit and he shrugs, trying not to sound uncomfortable, and succeeding, to everyone's surprise, 'everyone' being Dave. "I guess rocks its good enough for me."

"Why on earth would you drown yourself. Have you ever seen a drowned tomato? They look a right sorry sight." He smiled slightly, splashing at him halfheartedly before checking over his gill again. The blood had almost stopped, and he knew he'd have to be careful putting his claws near there for the next few days. He used it as a diversion from their current topic, feeling a bit uncomfortable with it himself.

"C'mon. We should leave the dolphins for now. I'm hungry an' I wanna check this over when I'm not in water."

"Oh you're hungry now? But not when we were near food? You're like that kid that nearly pisses himself every car ride because he refuses to pee, just to be an asshole." He grins, splashing more water on him, and started swimming backwards, taking his sweet time.

He was pretty happy that they changed the subject that quickly.

"I wasn't hungry before because I didn't want to eat. I'm hungry now because food sounds rather appealing. It's logic, shut up." He huffed at him, ducking to swim under the water beside him. He kept the leisurely pace, totally comfortable with the speed now. Each breath stung a bit when the water passed through the filaments, but he figured he'd get used to it soon enough.

He eventually turned around so that he could see what was underwater, keeping the pace pretty lazy.

Once they got to the boat, he made an effort to climb on, and sat down by the edge. "Go on, I'll just turn into a roasted tomato here."

Eridan ended up rolling his eyes waiting for Dave to climb up and gave him a little boost. He'd forgotten to make sure the ladder was down at the back, but it wasn't too high up off the water. "If you burn I'm gonna laugh, just saying." He grinned and made his way down into the cabin, blinking a bit to adjust his sight to the dimness. He ended up just grabbing a bag of chips and heading back up, munching as he joined Dave again.

Dave laid down, spreading hid arms like a starfish, and closing his eyes. He set the goggles and mouthpiece to the side, and took in the scent of the ocean. "I've told you im from Texas, if I burn, I'll be surprised myself. Besides darker skin is harder to burn." And Dave was fairly tanned, despite already having a bit of a natural darker skin tone

"Explain why you're going red around your bones then." He wasn't really, but he felt like teasing a bit and it did look slightly red from where he was standing. He took a seat near Dave, eating away at the chips almost lazily in pace.

He rose a brow, actually checking, and scoffed with a slight smile as he flicked him on the thigh. "Unless that you're colour blind and by red you mean brown, I don't know what you're talking about." He reached into the bag to steal a single chip, and closed his eyes again

"You looked though." He smirked and stretched a bit, relaxing as he did so. "Oi piss off. My chips." He held the bag out of reach, scooting his ass over away from Dave. He was far too comfortable to actually move to far though, so it was a stupidly pathetic attempt.

He laughs a little, munching on the chip. "I share my food and company and this is how you treat your brown tomato buddy. How rude." He smiles wide, covering his closed eyes with his forearm.

He shrugged when he was asked what he wanted to do, sitting up. He wanted to see the stars again, thats for sure , but that was granted to happen. What else would he want? "We can always come back another day. Maybe in a few weeks. Plus I have yet to start learning how to sail." He smiles a little at the thought. The sea looked quite appealing to him. As long as Eridan didnt ignore him of course

Dave nods, rather liking the idea. "Sounds good. The view would be worth it just by itself." When he removes his arm from his eyes, opening them, he squints, still not used to not wearing shades, so he turned his back on the sun to make up for that, now facing Eridan.
