Eridan nearly elbows him in the windpipe. "Fuck you Dave." He scowls down at him, dumping sand onto his chest and kicking off the bottom to go float out of reach. He wished he didn't know about the sensitivity and general ticklishness around gills, he could tell it was going to be a problem, a weak spot, from here on out. "You said you wouldn't do it anymore."

He laughs a little harder, immediately starting to float when Eridan let go, so it didnt take long for him to be clinging to him again. He shrugs with a devious little smile

"I will gut you an' cook your entrails in a pie." He shook him off, swimming back down and smirking now that he was out of reach. "Seriously through quit it with the rib jabbing, it fucking stings like a bitch underwater. Sensory endings are all bigger an' flared an' shit to catch vibrations an' it feels like you just stabbed bones into my gills."

Dave started rising like a balloon, trying to go down, but not managing. He frowns a little at that, just crossing his arms and letting it happen. He did not know that though.

Eridan waved at him from where he was now lying on the bottom of the ocean. He smirked, waggling his fingers a bit. "You look like a right specky git from here. All noodle arms an' funny facial expressions." He teased.

He didnt look very amused, specially because he couldnt swim back down very easily, but to his surprise, one of the dolphins started pushing him down, having him grin at that.

Eridan groaned aloud, kicking his feet against the sand to raise it up when he saw a dolphin helping Dave back down. "Now that's not fair. Cheater." He huffed a cloud of bubbles up at him, kicking off the ground to swim along the bottom, looking very much like a shark from above. A violet, humanoid looking shark.

The dolphins didnt seem to buy it, as Eridan hadn't been acting weird up until now, and when he managed, Dave swam down the rest of the way, and clung to him like it depended on his life, not planning in being shaken off as easily now

"You are an absolute butttrumpet." He had to laugh at his own insult though, snickering hard as he shook his head. He squirmed, testing how tight Dave was clinging to him and merely sighing when he didn't immediately shake him off. "So rude. Fucking limpet. You're a limpet Dave."

Dave grinned, shaking softly as he chuckled, and gave the dolphin a quick thumbs up, as if he'd understand. The Strider smiled proudly, swimming along, the sand soon settling back down, though some dolphins were taken aback by it.

He just rolled his eyes, rolling over and over and getting sand over both of them. He coughed, pulling a face and finally swimming away from the sand. "Oh gross it's in my gills. Ew. Ew gross fuck leggo gotta get this shit out. Taste's disgusting." He squirming, shoving at Dave to get him off as he held open the slits on his sides one by one to get the little grains of sand out. They were just trapped under the gill slit, not in the actual filaments themselves so no overall harm done thankfully.

Dave started coughing as well, desperately swimming up, though the task wasnt getting any easier as he coughed harder. As soon as he surfaced he took off the mouth piece and took a deep breath, swallowing some saliva. Some sand got in the filters and he choked on it, but now he was fine. He made a bit of a face, washing the mouthpiece.

Eridan checked all his gills twice, running a finger carefully along the inside of the covering to feel for any other grains of sand. His claw caught on the edge of a filament and he swore loudly and vehemently. He clamped a hand over the gill, scowling as he swam up to meet Dave. "You alright?"

"Same." He lifted his hand away from his side, turned away a bit from Dave. He was bleeding a little from the edge of his gill, nothing major just yet. He checked the filament, scowling at it in annoyance.

He could see a slight shade of violet in the water, and he was confused for a while. It took him a few seconds to realize that not all blood was red.

"What happened? You're bleeding a bit." He swam around him to try and check it out. "If its bleeding hard we'll go back."

He clamped his hand back on it, huffing at him. "Chill it's nothing. Just nicked the edge of the filament getting sand out. It's fine." He rolled his eyes and shoved him gently, bopping him on the forehead in the next second in an attempt to distract him from it.

"Dave it's fine. It just stings. I've had worse." He rolled his eyes, huffing at him and checking the filament again. "We can keep swimming, it's fine honestly." The bleeding hadn't stopped yet, but then again filament injuries were known to bleed longer then necessary. He didn't even know how he did it, his claws are trimmed to avoid this kind of thing from happening.

"Not saying you havent, but it usually isnt a good sign when it's bleeding that much." He gave him a worried look, not fully planning on letting it go. "But lets rest a bit if you want to keep swimming."

He huffed at him, splashing water at him. "It's fine. Gill wounds bleed a lot. Like, more then necessary. It's fine. It was just a little nick. You probably won't even be able to see it." He turned a bit and parted the gill covering to show him, blood spreading out in a thin line in the water.

He calmed down a little once he saw it, nodding. After all, Eridan would know better. "Alright. Okay, that's chill. And sorry for poking you, I wasn't aiming to hurt you." He smiled apologetically, ending up splashing water at his chest. "Just trying to get your fat ass off me."
