"......." Perhaps not the best subject to change to. I wondered if they'd had faith. At least then she'd be sending a broken soul to Heaven. My smile faded as I thought about this. I closed the door and locked it, brushing my hair back habitually as I tried to justify her killing. She did it to survive, and was definitely someone deserving of survival, but so was every nameless innocent she killed on the street. It was a painful thing.

Terezi, not aware of this, lowered her hood. Yeah, faith. Ha! As if God could save anymore now. Especially her. She never really thought about religion when she turned, it would just upset her. She glanced over at the tears into the couch and remembered that it'd be best to fix that. She retrieved the needle and thread from her room before beginning to attend to it.

Oh, she was sewing up the couch. It looked slightly odd, but took my mind off my depressing train of thought. I was about to go over and see if I could help when I felt a horrible emptiness in the pit of my stomach. I heard a loud growling noise from somewhere and I jumped. "Wh-what was...?"

Terezi heard the faint growling and gave a small laugh. "That was your stomach. You're more than likely hungry." She pointed to the direction of the kitchen, not looking up from what she was fixing. "Consider yourself lucky that I buy basic things to pretend to be human. There is fresh fruit in the fridge if you want to try that."

Consider myself lucky? That wasn't a thing I had. So this was being hungry. It wasn't a pleasant sensation in the slightest. "Oh....thank you." I sheepishly ducked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. Yes, of course I know what fruit is, darling bought it on a regular basis. What I didn't know was what it tasted like. I grabbed an apple based on familiarity and took a bite. /Good heavens./ It was the sweetest thing I'd ever tasted, mostly due to it being the first thing I'd ever tasted. I closed my eyes and enjoyed it. Now /this/ was something I could get used to.

As Seculus went to the kitchen, she smiled to herself. It seemed like he would fit right in here. She finished mending the couch, and tied the thread off. There, now no one will ever have to know about the horrible memories and things that lie inside her mind.

I took the masterpiece of God's bounteous creation back out to the living room and watched her finish. She was putting a strange amount of passion into the act. Dear, that's not Cale's mouth, calm down.

Once done, she set the the needle on the table. Her gaze then caught Seculus's as he watched her. "Are you enjoying that apple?" She asked him.

I nodded emphatically. Trying to speak with my mouth full seemed rude.

"Good." She slowly got up from the ground and sat down on the couch.

There was a knock on the door. I glanced at Terezi, not sure if I should answer since it wasn't my apartment.
Tassek had come to visit after school, partially to see if the guy hadn't gotten himself killed yet, mostly to make sure he hadn't touched Terezi.

Terezi got up and answered the door, and by now she didn't really need to guess who it was. "Hey." She greeted Tassek once she answered, opening the door wide enough for him to come in.

He smiled and came in, hugging her. After, he nodded to me politely. "Hi. Has he been causing trouble yet?"

She giggled in slight surprise of the hug, quickly returning it. "No, he's been a perfect angel." Haha, puns.

He laughed. I made a face and swallowed my bite of apple. Yes, /very/ funny. They were cute, though, so I couldn't hold a grudge. "That's good. I asked at school and apparently we need a new janitor, so if he wants to..." "Thank you, darling, but I'm mostly covered on that account," I spoke up. He gave me that weird look again, like he did every time I called him 'darling'. It was too hard of a habit to break, though, so I didn't bother trying. "Oh. Really? That was fast."

Terezi nodded. "Don't ask me how he did it, I wasn't exactly there to see it." Maybe his angelic charm worked on everyone. Ha.

"I'm not even entirely sure myself. I suppose I'll find out when I go tomorrow." "Where?" "The Rose Garden Cafe." Tassek's face blanched, then he put a hand to his mouth to stifle laughter. "What?"
The RGC? Seriously? That was where he'd gotten a job? And by /accident/? Lizzy had mentioned it once or twice during tutor sessions, apparently it was good for her self-confidence to be pampered by good-looking men when she couldn't get him to go out with her. He decided he'd keep this from the guy, though, let him find out for himself. It would be hilarious.

Terezi looked at Tassek, an eyebrow raised at him. What was so bad about the cafe? It couldn't be that bad, could it.

He gave Terezi a grin and shook his head. Oh, it could be. Haha, can't wait to see how tightass deals with this.
Well, now I was even more nervous about the prospect than I had been originally. How foreboding. I caught Tassek's disturbingly amused eye and beckoned him over. "If you don't mind, I'd like to talk to you about something." Curious, he came to where I was standing by the kitchen. Placing myself between him and Terezi, I bent down and whispered "She says she met Cale tonight, and whatever he said to her, she came back looking like she'd been crying. Careful around him. I thought you should know." My words seemed to fill him with rage, whether at Cale or myself I wasn't sure. "No, he should be careful around me," he whispered back, slightly louder. Careful, now.

Terezi watched with curiosity. What did he want to talk to Tassek about? His dream? Possibly. She folded her arms and leaned against the wall. Whatever they were talking about, Tassek seemed displeased. Did he mention about Cale?
Oh god, please don't. Don't drag him into this.
2015-04-26 05:27:25 -

"Just....if you can, stay away from him, he's likely to hurt you simply for being around her." "I'll do the same to him if he goes near her again." "Darling, think about what you just said. Even if he wasn't a vampire, he's much more athletically built than you, not to mention taller, you wouldn't stand much of a chance. Don't try to face him." "Don't tell me what to do." "/That's what I've done for nineteen years and you never complained./" "Well, maybe I might've if I'd known you were such a coward!" This last part he raised his voice for, and I flinched back. I felt a horrible ache, and tears sprang to my eyes. He hated me. He thought I was a coward. And all I'd done was try to give him advice.

When Tassek raised his voice, she stepped forward. "Tassek!" She snapped. Yeah, it was time to stop this before it would escalate to them fighting or something of that nature.

🌀
"He's a coward, I'm just stating the facts!" He shoved past me and towards the door. He reached for Terezi, gave her hand a squeeze, and glared back at me. "Maybe next time you can visit me at my place instead. Don't worry, I won't let anyone make you cry." And then he was gone. I buried my face in my hands. I should've just stayed hidden, him not knowing I existed was so much better than outright hatred.

Terezi's gaze went from Seculus, then Tassek. What the hell should she do? Should she go after him? Should she-
SLEEP!
Suddenly, Terezi dropped to the ground, completely and utterly out cold.

There was a thud and I raised my head, blinking through the tears in surprise and shock at Terezi's still form. "T-Terezi? Good heavens, are...are you alright?" My voice was kind of choked, but she had the problem now, and sudden fainting spells were more important than the worthlessness of my existence. I went to kneel next to her, making the exact same mistake as darling and checking her pulse before muttering "stupid" to myself and moving her to the couch. We were more similar than he thought, but I suppose he did hate himself quite a bit.
