He tried to find shelter, but the best he could do was the overhang off the music shop, which he pulled Terezi under. "That was...sudden." He rubbed at his glasses at a futile attempt to dry them with his equally soaking sleeve. "S-sorry, I fell asleep, I hope...."

Terezi was pulled under with him. Yeah, completely sudden. Wait,he fell asleep?...Son of a bitch. Dammit Suculus. She shook her head. "No, you're fine. Really." She sputtered out.

/Well I'm sorry would you have rather he died?/ And technically you just called God a bitch, congratulations.
"Are you okay? You seem mad." Maybe she was mad at the weather. Or him. Aaah.

"No, I'm not mad." She moved a piece of hair that was sticking to her face and pulled back her hood. "Just being suddenly covered in water that you don't expect is a bit of surprise."

Lies. "There are towels back at my place. Though I guess we wouldn't really want to walk through all this to get there...." If only teleportation was a thing. Dammit, I'd actually like to explain the reasoning here, but she'd probably hit me or something if I tried. I wish these other fools could just see what's going on in my head, too. Sigh.

"Yeah, you're right about that." She leaned against the glass window. "Guess we're stuck here until the rain lets up, then?"
2015-04-21 08:53:02 -
🌀
"I guess. Or until I get completely desperate and try to make a run for it." He laughed a little.
2015-04-21 16:10:56 -
●
"That works too, but will it let up enough so that you can actually find your way home?"
2015-04-21 16:18:23 -

"Who knows?" Great plan, doof. "I can always just head to the school and stay there for the night. Place is kind of hard to lose."
2015-04-21 16:40:55 -

"Yes, but it's not a good idea to stay in wet clothes for so long" she frowned. "You might get sick."
2015-04-21 16:43:14 -

Well, he could always....wait, no. We're not going there. "Nah, I'll be fine." He pulled off his sweater and wrung it out. It was surprisingly absorbent, and the shirt underneath was relatively dry.

"Are you sure about that?" Sick humans were one of the many things that she wasn't good at.
2015-04-21 16:46:23 -

"As long as I change soon, I'll be fine." May I leave that term up to interpretation? "Don't worry."

"If you say so." She gave in. "Just be careful."

"That's my middle name. Tassek Careful Paxaro."

"More like 'accident-prone'" She joked.

"That's my second middle name. Or third, since there's a hyphen?" He grinned and sneezed.

She giggled. "Sure." The rain let up slightly. "Now let me walk you home before the second part of this monsoon of a storm hits."
2015-04-21 16:59:05 -
🌀
Wow. He elicited a giggle. Impressive. "Alright. Let's see if we can find it through the wall of water."
2015-04-21 17:01:45 -
●
"Well, it can't be that hard. We just find people and sorta head from there." She stepped back into the rain.

He wrapped the sweater around his waist, took off his glasses, and pocketed them, following her. No sense in getting them wetter than they already were, especially if they didn't do any good right now in any case.

Slowly, Terezi led him through the streets and back towards a more populated area. Occasionally, she would glance at Tassek before continuing on.

He squinted through the glow cast by the blurry street lights as he began to see more people, or what passed for them.

Eventually, they found their way to Tassek's apartment building. "Here it is." Terezi stopped walking, gesturing to it. "I'll see you soon?"

He smiled. "Yeah. Thanks." Ah. Here we are. "I'm not sure why, but I want to apologize. Probably the stress talking." An interesting new nickname for me. At the very least, I could give her this so she wouldn't /entirely/ hate me. That is, if she wasn't so thickheaded as to misinterpret it. Sigh. "Anyway, see you soon." He walked into the lobby dripping and earning a concerned tut from the landlady.
